CMS Title I Family Engagement Academic Fair 2017 Volunteer Sign Up - Gearing Up for Greatness!

Dear Potential Volunteer(s):

We thank you for considering offering your time and talents to be a part of the 2017 Title I Family Engagement Academic Fair as a volunteer. Please provide your contact information and your preferences for working during the event below.

The Title I Family Engagement Academic Fair is fun academic and community engagement for the entire family! Families can learn more about literacy, teaching and learning at home, and college and career readiness tools. Key organizations in attendance are Microsoft, the Novant Community Cruiser, and many community organizations for middle and high school students; as well as young adults. THIS YEAR! We are excited about engaging middle and high school students and families by focusing and encouraging more engagement around college and career readiness ( internships, paying for college, trade schools, technical opportunities, etc). This is a FREE and FUN filled event for the entire family!!!

If you are an adviser or an adult leader of a group of students that are 13 and older that would like to work; please provide your information and we will contact you of possible options to have students be a part of this great service experience!!

Registration Table Worker - register families and provide instructions of how to engage

Spanish Interpreter - provide Spanish interpretation at one or more of the stations provided to families

ASK ME Service Rep - become familiar with program and school layout and assist families with where to go and what to do

Vendor Rep - assist vendors with questions, concerns, and transporting items to their assigned tables

Family Activity Rep - monitor outside/inside family activities and engagement

Classroom Rep - assist presenters with audio visual, seating, and family engagement success and learning in classes offered

Parking Attendant - assist families with parking and traffic flow

Set-Up and Clean- Up Crew - assist with set-up and clean up before and/or after the event

Engagement Team Assistant - assist the CMS engagement team leaders as a floater and/or runner

Volunteer Room Attendant - assist district volunteer with assignments as they arise

RED VENTURES Volunteer - these volunteers should only be those who are affiliated with Red Ventures, Road to Hire, or Golden Door Scholars. Task will be provided through Myron Davis before the event.
