DEADLINE FOR APPLICATION:  DECEMBER 8, 2021

Application to Host SSNS Championships.

For the 2021-2022 school year, SSNS will receive applications from member schools interested in hosting a championship in the sport of Hockey for the following divisions:

Division 1 Boys - Western Region
Division 1 Girls -  Capital Region
Division 2 Boys - Highland Region
Division 2 Girls - Northumberland Region

Schools identified as host schools will automatically advance to the championship but shall participate in Regionals.

Sponsorship:

You are reminded that schools hosting SSNS championships must adhere to the requirements of any contract between SSNS and its sponsor or sponsors, no corporate or organization exposure is permitted at this SSNS Provincial Championship and in any collateral materials associated with the Championship other than those provided by SSNS sponsors.  Under no circumstances are SSNS sponsors to be contacted for any financial, product or service contribution to your SSNS Provincial event.

Current partners of the NSSAF are:  Eastlink,  Nova Trophy, Comfort Inn and Enterprise Rent-A-Car.

Websites & Web Streaming:

No corporate identification or advertising is permitted at any SSNS Provincial Championship website provided by the SSNS Provincial Championship Host.

No web live streaming, television broadcast or any other electronic communication for any SSNS Provincial Championship is permitted other than that provided by SSNS and its’ exclusive Presenting Partner Eastlink.

Financial Responsibilities:

Rule 5.3 of the SSNS Handbook outlines the financial responsibilities for schools hosting provincial championships.  Please note that justifiable expenses must be approved in advance by SSNS.  

Selection Process:

The selection committee will consist of the Regional Directors and the Director.

The host is required to complete a tournament championship report (provided by the SSNS office) and include all receipts.

All gate receipts and expenses must accompany the submitted championship report.

Gate fees will be set by SSNS in consultation with the host school.
