By placing your name below you are certifying that you have read the CSE 599 Syllabus and understand its policies and expectations. You understand that CSE599 is a 2-unit course with required attendance at all class sessions for earning a passing grade in the class. It is extremely difficult, given the nature of the class content, to “make up” a missed session and only the most critical of professional obligations (e.g. presenting a paper at a conference) will be considered for excused absences. These must be discussed with the instructor the first week of class or as soon as the conflict becomes known, whichever occurs first.  Additionally, you recognize that you are expected to behave professionally in this class including performing the required preparation, assigned work, and in-class activities and to abide by appropriate UC San Diego academic integrity guidelines.
