Lead Yourself to Leadership Registration Form
Lead Yourself to Leadership is an Erasmus+ training course  which will take place in St. Paul's Bay, Malta from June 1-10th, 2018, with the main aim of increasing the leadership knowledge, skills, and attitudes of youth workers from Malta, Spain, Poland, Croatia, Lithuania, Greece, Norway, and Moldova.

Our organizations see the reality that many youth workers in our countries have extensive experience writing project proposals for the Erasmus+ program as well as designing and delivering their own training courses and youth exchanges; however, what they are lacking is the essential leadership skills necessary to effectively lead themselves as well as the youth they work with. The reality is that even though a majority of youth workers consider themselves youth leaders, they have difficulty defining leadership and can not adequately identify the most essential knowledge, skills, and attitudes needed to be a great leader. We have therefore created a comprehensive training course that promotes both hard and soft skill leadership and will address these needs.

The main aim of this training course is to increase the inner and outer leadership competences of 24 youth workers from our countries in order to support and equip them with the tools needed to lead themselves and their youth groups.  Through this training course, young youth workers will develop their knowledge, skills and attitudes in the areas of inner and outer leadership, addressing a holistic approach to leadership.

This training course is designed for youth workers and youth leaders who have less than 5 years of experience. We welcome participants who are starting their journey in this professional field and feel they could benefit greatly from developing their leadership competences. We will take into consideration participants with more than 5 years of experience, if they feel they really lack the leadership skills necessary to carry out their work effectively.

The Objectives of Lead Yourself to Leadership are:
1. By the end of this project, the participants will increase their knowledge of leadership. They will be able to define it, identify its inner and outer components, recognize the qualities of a good leader, and understand how to unleash their own leadership potential.
2. By being actively involved in this project, "Lead Yourself to Leadership", and it’s experiential learning methods, the participants will develop the hard and soft leadership skills needed to lead themselves and the youth they work with.
3. By the end of this project, the participants will understand the importance of leadership for their personal and professional development as a youth worker, and will increase their awareness on the attitudes to uphold to be an
effective leader.
4. By being actively involved in this project and it’s experiential learning methods, the participants will increase their inter-cultural communication and competences working in an international and multi- cultural team.
