To register for the 2018 Chautauqua County Battle of the Books, please complete the form below. Completion of this form does not guarantee space in Battle of the Books. You will be notified by November 22 in regards to the status of your registration. Your team should have five students (and a minimum of four students) and every student on your team must attend the same school. If you have any questions in regards to the registration process, contact us by emailing youth@chq.org.

Accommodation Request

Accommodations will be made for children with special needs. Please notify us by March 23, 2018 of any changes.

Team coach(es) agree to:

1. Attend or have an adult representative of your team attend one of the mandatory coaches meetings offered on December 2, 2017 or December 5, 2017, as well as one of the mandatory logistics meetings on April 18, 2018 or April 24, 2018. Failure to attend (by a coach or another team representative) will mean that your team will be disqualified from participating in Battle of the Books.
2. Serve as the contact person(s) between the team and Battle staff. Keep us informed of any changes.
3. Supervise the team for the duration of Battle of the Books.
4. Mentor or have an adult representative mentor another team during the actual Battle on May 12, 2018.
