Read to Write Stories: Classroom Text
Read to Write Stories was inspired a writing workshop I taught a few years ago. I needed to explain the basic aspects of creative writing—dialogue, structure, character, and plot—and brought in excerpts from published stories and novels to illustrate "how to write." I have used the exercises posted on this blog in my own classes and in my own work. So, I am thrilled that they're now finding their way into classrooms around the country. I'd love to know which exercises you've found most helpful. Please take a few moments to complete this short questionnaire about the blog.
