AP Summer Bridge Description
Hello Students!  Please take advantage of this year's AP Summer Bridge Workshops.  Students going into an AP Course in the 2017-18 school year should register for AP Summer Bridge.  These workshops are designed to support your academic success as you transition into a more challenging, college level class.

This year’s AP Summer Bridge program offers several different, subject specific workshops designed to provide all students with skills necessary to be more successful in these specific AP courses.  Below is a list of workshops that will be offered.  Plan on attending workshops for the AP courses you will be taking when classes begin.  Please choose all of the workshops that you will be attending.  Note: not all AP courses will be offering a workshop.

Summer Bridge will be from 8:30 AM - 3:00 PM daily beginning on Monday, August 7th and ending on Friday, August 11th.  You will receive confirmation and more specific information regarding your AP Bridge schedule via personal e-mail or by phone over the summer; therefore, please provide email addresses that you and your parent/guardian check often.

Please do not expect to receive reminders through School Loop because it may not be available over the summer.  On the first day of bridge, plan to meet under the 900 building to receive your schedule of AP Summer Bridge Workshops.

Finally, because we do not have food service in the summer, students will be responsible for their own food and drink to have during a break.
AP Biology Workshop
Monday morning and afternoon sessions are the same.
Friday sessions are different from Monday and from each other (morning and afternoon)

This workshop focuses on preparing students to design, implement, and analyze their own experiments.  Students will learn the basics of how to design an experiment to help them as they create about 8 of their own experiments during the AP Biology course.  Students who have attended this workshop in the past have said it’s extremely helpful and eased their minds coming into the year.  Please only attend one “Designing Your Own Experiment” workshop.  Other workshops that are offered focus on reviewing key content covered in regular biology to better prepare students during the course of the year as we dig deeper and expand on these topics.
