Vision and Beliefs

At the beginning of the year, we began a journey of identifying our priorities and focusing on four main targets. Apart of this new direction, it is necessary that we identify our Vision (what we want for our school) and our Beliefs (how we feel about various stakeholders that play a major role in our school). We began by asking groups to develop vision and belief statements. Please vote on the following vision and belief statements.

Vision Statements *

Challenge students to achieve their maximum patential as lifelong learners.

Utilize all stakeholders to develop and foster lifelong education to create a lasting change in the local and global community.

To create productive members of society. Columbia staff will be relatable and accessible. We will inspire students to reach their potential as their authentic selves.

Columbia aspires to develop open-minded, lifelong learners, who are productive memebers of society.

Make every student a contributing member of society.

Beliefs about Students *

We believe students will strive to reach their maximum potential to become positive productive members of society.

Beliefs about Teachers *

We believe teachers are present, prepared, and productive.

We believe teachers are an access point for student learning.

We believe teachers are dedicated lifelong learners and give their all.

We believe teachers collaborate with staff, parents, and students to promote academic and social growth.

We believe teachers inspire, motivate, stimulate, and are inclusive.

Beliefs about Support Staff *

We believe that the support staff is equally valued an dis an essential part of the learning community who create a safe, clean and healthy environment.

Beliefs about the Community

We believe the community is involved with us for volunteer opportunities.

We believe the community provides internship and opportunities with real world experiences.
