Indigenous Youth Symposium
Dear Parent(s)/Guardian(s),
We are pleased to offer another Youth Symposium opportunity for Grade 7 and 8 Indigenous students!
Here are the details:
Who? Indigenous students in Grades 7 and 8 from each school. If your child would prefer to have a Grade 7 or 8 friend from school come with them, their friend will need to get forms from the school so that they can register.
When? Friday, June 15, 2018 from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm.
Where? Queenston Heights Park
Registration? Before June 1,
1. Go online to DSBN.org/2018FNMISymposium and fill out the information.
2. Complete the paper copy of the parent consent form that’s in this envelope.
3. Give the consent form to your school principal.
What? Learn more about Indigenous History and Culture
-Outdoor cultural activities, team building initiatives, exploring the Landscape of Nations: The Six Nations and Native Allies Commemorative Memorial, etc.
Cost? Transportation to and from Queenston Heights Park and lunch is provided by DSBN.
