On Saturday, February 10th from 8:30am-1:00pm the University of Memphis’ Civic Engagement Board will be holding our 1st Annual MLK Day of Service. Students, Faculty and Staff will serve at over 20 locations throughout the Memphis community to honor the life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The site projects will involve a variety of topics and projects including issues of homelessness, urban gardening and food insecurity, mentoring and tutoring local children in high need areas, park and river beautification, etc.

Check-In will be at the UofM University Center Ballrooms where students will meet up and carpool. Schedule of activities as follows:

8:30AM-9:00AM – Check-In/Shirt distribution

9:00AM-9:30AM – Site Information/Program

9:30AM-1:00AM – Depart for Service Sites/Service Activities
