Our goal is for all employees to know how to use their EcoPASS. Please see the information below, and contact the Sustainability Section at
sustainability@flagstaffaz.gov if you have any questions.
Important things to know:
- The pass will work starting Saturday, July 1st, for the next year.
- To use the pass, simply scan it on the card reader when you board the bus.
- ONLY YOU can use the pass. If a pass is used by someone other than yourself, the bus driver has the right to confiscate your pass.
- Do not punch a hole in the pass.
Temporary staff will not be provided with City IDs. Their names will be written on their EcoPasses at the time of pass distribution. Temporary staff will need to carry a picture ID card, matching the name on their EcoPass, for Identification Verification.
Because ecoPASS cards are used by many employers in Flagstaff, including the County and NAU, bus drivers must be able to verify that you are actually the valid pass holder. The driver has the right to ask for identification when you use your ecoPASS – you need to show your EcoPass with your name + a picture ID. Drivers will not always ask for ID but sometimes will.
Note that this process is distinct for temporary staff. Benefit-eligible staff will use their City ID Cards.
