The Rapture, The Judgement, The End of Days, The Apocalypse. Whatever you call it and whatever you choose to believe it signifies, there is no doubting its reality. Major population centers felt the impact the hardest. New York City, Paris, London: the fires that burned there left nothing but a scorched flat earth. Spreading from there into the suburbs the fiery winds flattened and set afire everything that stood or walked. In the rural areas beyond, the great hot dust clouds slowly choked out life as it obscured the sun itself. Great firestorms now circle the Earth while smaller conflagrations spring up when least expected. The poles of the Earth have shifted in a great electromagnetic realignment. The technology of the previous era lies dead and dormant; lifeless artifacts of another time. In their place, strange new forces seem to be at work in this new reality. Some folk are more connected to these new forces than others and stand out as if a spotlight had been cast upon them on the stage of the world.

You are such individuals; inhabitants of a small patch of land which has begun to show signs of life. The erratic patterns of the firestorms have conspired to spare this area in recent years and a deep spring-fed pool at its center provides life-giving water. The area is known as Deepwater and a loosely assembled hundred or so souls now call it home. Points beyond are known but infrequently travelled to because passage across the scorched wastes is perilous.

This game will use the Apocalypse World rule system. You don't need to be familiar with the system as its pretty simple to learn. Posting frequency will be at least once every 48 hours.
