Approximately 3 community members will be selected to join the committee, consisting of a
combination of residents, parents and employees of School District 80. These individuals will
be responsible for evaluating current operations and developing recommendations for future
improvements throughout the district.

Ideal committee members are individuals with qualities, knowledge and/or experience in the
committee area for which they apply. Committee members will be asked to serve staggered
terms of either one or two years.

Although the committee may suggest recommendations for the superintendent to bring forth
to the Board of Education, the board will not be bound by them.

Individuals interested in serving on the advisory committee are asked to review the
charge of the committee listed below and then complete and submit an application form to
the district.

The Finance Committee will be comprised of individuals who possess the ability to understand financial statements and budget activities (revenues and expenditures) of NSD#80.  The committee will also provide guidance to the Board of Education on maintaining Fiscal Responsibility.

The application process will be open July 3 through July 24, 2019.

Community members will fill out the online application and submit it no later than close of business Wednesday, July 24.  The District will provide the Finance Committee a list of interested parties to review.
