Jump into Solidarity it´s included in the Networking Activities and will offer the opportunity to establish international cooperation in the field of volunteering in European Solidarity Corps (ESC) projects.
“Jump into Solidarity” is a Training Course (TC) that aims to enhance the quality of the European Solidarity projects and support organisations on the development of the main competences related with the projects.
This TC will offer a meeting point for the participants to discuss and to interact between each other and to create a solid and trustable network of partners interested in organizing and/or supporting ESC projects.
The activity is especially addressed to new accredited organizations, newcomers in the E+ Programme and Organisations with few experience in EVS/ESC projects.
Jump into Solidarity it’s also open to organizations with experience that are interested in working with new partners.
By exploring the European Solidarity Corps in different dimensions, methods and resources, this Training Course intend to promote innovation and creativity in the developing and management of ESC projects.
Through the principles and practices of non-formal education and in an atmosphere where participants can learn from each other and act with each other , “Jump into Solidarity” will open an intercultural dialogue and will make room for the acquirement of new skills and the exchange of methods and experiences within the volunteering world.
Objectives:
- to understand the volunteering meaning and context;
- to ensure a thorough understanding of the European Solidarity Corps (ESC);
- to explore and understand the different roles within a ESC project ;
- to update on the recent development in the field of Volunteering projects and European Solidarity Corps projects;
- to feel inspired by non formal education methods and exercises that could help the organisations and their actors to fell more empowered and acquire new skills and competences;
- to empower for strategic approach in Volunteering projects throughout the whole project cycle;
- to provide space for sharing realities, experiences and good practice examples;
- to share and exchange new methods for developing competences and recognise learning with young people;
- to provide space for networking between participating organisations and planning of further Partnership Building Activities, Seminars, Volunteering Projects, Solidarity Projects, Traineeships and others
With this overall and objectives we intend that participants achieved the following outcomes:
- define and explain European Solidarity Corps and understand its role;
- conceptualize the deeper meaning of Volunteering projects and its benefit to local community, volunteers and organizations;
- to enhance the quality of Volunteering projects, especially with attention to selection of partners and selection of volunteers;
- apply new methods for recognising learning and developing competences with young people in the daily work and in the hosting activities for volunteers;
- reflect and on your Volunteering project(s);
- identify potential partners for future projects.
Summarising, the TC will give the opportunity for organisations, with and without experience in ESC projects, to exchange ideas and to create new projects on Volunteering through an inclusion and supported process.
