You need maximum 3 days to complete all trips, any more than that would have to be someone who loves water sports as these are the main activities in this country, anyways. Bring a mosquito or any insect repellent, you will need these after a stroll on the shores or anywhere there are plants. Also have an anti-nausea pill if you are the seasick type. Taxis have a fixed price for each location, check that out. Alcohol in the resorts is expensive but then again that's all you got. Best to pay all meals or include dinner in your package as there are almost no restaurants outside, depending on the island, and if you find one it's either a chips or coffee spots.

My favorite places were snorkeling from the pier of the Italian restaurant, and the water villas we stayed in (also good for snorkelling, but the water is very shallow). We had half-board, and were so happy with the breakfast and dinner buffets that we never opted for anything extra. Getting around in Maamigli on foot was easy for us, but I understand we could have requested golf cart transportation as well. We preferred walking. I was a little concerned beforehand whether we'd be spending a fortune on drinking water (since we didn't have all-inclusive), but drinking water was provided daily by the housekeeping, so no problem at all. Next time I'll make an even bigger effort to avoid getting sunburned. We used 50 SPF sunblock and re-applied often, but lengthy snorkeling still got some of our backs.

It’s a local island and not very beautiful. There are other options for cheap accommodations on nearby local islands that will be about the same price or a little bit more, but it is worth it. Dhigurah island is much larger and the west is uninhabited with a huge sand bar and huge bikini beach.

It was a cheaper place to hire a boat ride to swim with whale Sharks. The food is limited on Mamagilli and the service is slow. Also, all restaurants people smoke at the tables which was not nice especially for young children. There is only one small section of beach for tourists, the rest of the beaches are full of rubbish. You don't feel very welcomed on Mamagilli we much more preferred staying on one of the other islands that has a resort. There is also no ATM for tourists on mamagilli. Interesting experience to stay on a local island.

We had a fantastic one week stay at Holiday Island.

We had a fantastic one week stay at Holiday Island. All the staff were very helpful, smiling and always ready for our needs and wishes. The view from the bungalow was just like from a postcard. The whole island is continuously kept in an amazingly clean and neat condition. I can highly recommend to book it with full board meal plan. All breakfast, lunch and dinner were abundant. There is always many options to choose from. Unless you are on a very special diet your tummy will be full and happy. :D

The location is beautiful right at the beach, they have a certified dive center, clean waters, but we couldn't stay this time due to some difficulties we had to solve in another location. We consider to come back, when we have the time. We were shown the room and it was very nice with beach view and a balcony.

modern rooms, accessible spa, air conditioning available in the room. meals are quite simple but all are delicious, we also tasted the lobster, which was very good. all our special requests have been satisfied by Rippath or Ripon. we had a very good time there, been in excursions, and enjoyed the whole trip. Ripon is the guy for going on trips in ocean, Rippath is the guy that will deal everything in the hotel. I really reccomend this place. the staff is really nice.

    - The island is big compared to many others in Maldives - Lots of greenery - the option to rent a bicycle to discover the island - clean island - the spa was the highlight of the trip. Very professional masseuse - great experience - there’s an area near the Italian restaurant where you can do free snorkelling- the reef is nice. We weren’t informed and ended up paying $250 for two people to go on a snorkelling trip and the location they have chosen wasn’t nice.

    1. Relatively good location. All shops and cafes are nearby, we can say that the hotel is located in the "center" of the island. 2. The rooms are bright, but repairs are definitely required there. 3. The cleaners did well, they cleaned the room thoroughly. And the man in the laundry room is also very nice. He washed, dried and brought clothes to our room. He also brought fresh bath and beach towels every day.

The hosts are beautiful souls, I felt I was part of their family, It IS better than any 4 or 5 star hotel I have ever been at, if you decide to stay, please respect the people, the locals, this is not a place to get a good tan, It IS a place to get e feel of real Maldivian culture, sea life, local flora and fauna, so lets keep It like this out of respect to These amazing hosts and their country

The whole Koimala Hotel team were very helpful and warm. From Rifath, Prem, Kanchan and special mention to Ripon who has been in every highlight of our stay keeping us safe while swimming with the whale sharks and the manta rays. It was a wonderful experience. A wholehearted appreciation to everyone. Thanks to Subae as well, the captain of our speedboat. Looking forward to coming back.

The hotel is modest, but very good! I liked the guys, they were very friendly, all issues were resolved, for example, they changed the number without any problems, everything was great! It’s a 7-10 minute walk to the beach, there are a couple of cafes on the island, but we had dinner at one Maamliay, inexpensive and filling (for us personally). We recommend!

Wanna say many thanks to Dravida & Koimala hotels for our wonderful vacation! Our stay was comfortable and the atmosphere was friendly & relaxing. Be sure that the staff will do their best to solve all the questions and problems: from ordering the birthday cake & making a surprise to finding the way to the airport on Friday's storm.
