Summer in San Remo (Choc Lit)

Cassie is a Jill of All Trades who will do anything to put her beloved company back in the black after her ex-boyfriend makes off with her money. Enter Cassie’s first love Jake along with a sketchy client, and things are only getting harder for her. I thought this was the perfect summer beach read – it was light, entertaining, and a quick read. I was provided a free advance copy of this book in return for an honest review. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and would personally recommend it to anyone who is looking for a great summer read.

This is a fun book, a great romp. The story is a romantic break which will entertain you and make you smile. Following the adventures of Cassie and Jake while they attempt to solve the mystery of the rich client whilst falling in love is a lovely way to spend a few hours this summer. The characters are believable, but wow, Jake, I wish! The action moves seamlessly from Bath to San Remo, and life in San Remo is well described. I loved how the story ended, just perfect. Take some time for yourself and sit with this book, even if the sun isn't shining on you you will get a lovely warm feeling.

Thank you Evonne Wareham for a fabulous book. A beautifully crafted story that takes our hero and heroine into some great locations. They are such believable characters that I was in love with Jake, never mind Cassie. Cassie Travers is working hard to save her concierge business after her ex-boyfriend Jason stole from her, almost forcing her out of business. When she is given a profitable assignment she just needs to find a husband for a day. Except there is only one man she can use at such short notice. Enter Jake, her first love, who left her heartbroken when he moved to America without so much as a postcard. For 50% of the fee he agrees to help. But is the assignment all it seems or is there more to the mysterious client who paid Cassie a fortune to pick up an envelope. Jake and Cassie set off for the Italian Riviera to work out what is going on and whether they still have feelings for one another. It’s a page turner from the first page to the last. I loved it.
