SANFORD (WGME) -- A grand opening was held today for a new men’s recovery house in Sanford.

The house, on Boyd Street, is operated by Journey House Recovery. It gives men struggling with addiction a place to get back on their feet and to free themselves from the cycle of addiction.

The house is affordable, with beds starting at just $500 a month. They are open to all people looking for help with recovery.

Residents must stay sober, participate in their community and either work, volunteer or go to school.

Journey House Recovery also operates three other recovery houses – two already in Sanford and one in Lewiston.
