Pain #2

Something for the Pain

Rate this book
Tempting, inked, and highly addictive. Alex is all that and more…

I’ve made a lot of mistakes – ones I’m not proud of, and definitely ones that have left their marks both mentally and physically.

Things got lonely; I got lost in my own fucked up mind and in the end, it left me fucked out of my mind and unable to fight – or at least win. That life’s over for me and I’ve moved on.

Six months into tattooing at Ravage Tattoos and already I’m the most wanted and sought out tattooist. My biggest clientele consists of women.

They come into the shop, end up in my bed and we both come out happy. It’s been my release since I’ve stopped fighting. It’s become part of the “new” me.

But when Tripp reappears in my life, I can’t deny the fact that I would do anything for that girl.

So when she asks me to move in with her and her ‘boyfriend’ – our other childhood friend – I never expected for things to get so fucked up and twisted that I would find myself only more attracted to her by each passing second or wanting to protect her from everything that isn’t me.

I have worked so hard over the years to suppress my feelings for her but when I find out that she and Lucas have been having an open relationship, I have the strong urge to rip his heart straight from his chest – to destroy the very thing that keeps him breathing.

What I didn’t expect was for Lucas to ask what he did. For him to ask me to do the one thing I have secretly longed for since I was old enough to know what the need was. The second thing I never expected was the look of need that I saw in Tripp’s eyes when he asked.

One night of free passion could change our lives forever.

I never said that was a good thing either...

Tripp Daniels is a 21 yr. old woman who had a tough childhood. She lives in a town called Crooked Creek & works as a waitress in a local bar. Since she was 8 yrs. old she's been best friends with a guy named Alex Carter. Alex became her family, & has always put her first, protected her, and taken care of her. Everyone hopes to have that one person in life they can always count on, and for Tripp, that person has always been Alex Carter.

-Alex and I just have that connection. He would do just about anything for me and the same goes for me over him.

-You're one of the most important people in my life. I've always been there for you and always will be.

-"I will always protect you."

-She's always my strength when I have none.

-"I always make time for you over anyone else. It's always been that way and it's not changing anytime soon, Firecracker."

Over the last 13 yrs. Tripp and Alex have experienced everything together. They are always there for one another & continue to be the most important person in each others lives. They share such a strong emotional connection, but are both fighting the need to act on their growing attraction they are feeling. The older they get, the more they crave each other physically, but they are both scared of losing their friendship.

Tired of living with her aunt, & wanting to be on her own, Tripp decides to get a house with a guy she's been seeing but isn't fully committed to. She invites Alex to move in with them since they are best friends and she loves to spend time with him. Wanting some freedom too, Alex agrees. Things quickly get complicated for the three roommates when Alex & Tripp can't resist each other. Being roommates & around one another so much is just too tempting. They both want more with each other, but are afraid to ruin what they share, so instead of saying how they feel, they do a little exploring in a physical way. Once they get a taste, they can't stop.

-I have never met anyone more beautiful in my life than her.

-"You're sexy as sin and you fucking know it."

-"This is how you should always feel, Tripp. Never fucking forget that."

-"You're fucking beautiful. So damn beautiful, Firecracker."

-I feel sexy and wanted in his arms and I never want this feeling to end.

-Every move between us is filled with a passion that I've only dreamt of ever having with a woman. With this woman, but thought it could never happen.

-I'll give this woman anything and everything she ever fucking wanted or wants.

-She's so fucking precious to me.

-You're my best friend. You're my world and I never want to lose you.

They soon realize they are completely in love with one another. Tripp has always been the perfect woman to Alex, but now that he see's what they could have together, he wants it all. I continue to love this author & her writing! Alex Carter is one sexy tattooed bad boy with a heart of gold. Loved this friends to lovers story & can't wait to read more from this author! :D

-"That girl means everything to me. I breathe for her."

-I'm completely lost in this woman.

-This woman deserves all of me and that's what I'm giving her.

☆ I received an ARC via the author in exchange for an honest review. Thank you for always being on the lookout for me! I really appreciate it!! ☆

3.5 stars!!

description

“I never hold back. Fast and dirty is what I’m known for.”

Alex Carter and Tripp Daniels grew up as best friends and have always been there for the other through thick and thin. Now all grown up, the lines are starting to blur, and all pent up and unknown romantic and sensual feelings are beginning to seep out through the peaks and the ultimate testament of love and friendship are put to the test.

Has this tatted&pierced playboy met his match?

And with Tripp’s current flame and Alex’s previous and wannabe conquests in the mix, what will become of their long awaited romance? Or was it never supposed to be from the first place?

An ooberly hot, sizzling on all cylinders second installment in the Pain series. I can’t say that I did find it unpredictable, in its nature and sequence of events following the unfolding of Tripp and Alex’s journey, but I can’t say that it was predictable either. Some of what went down, I was like, “oh, I did not expect that.”

Alex and Tripp exemplify the typical friends to lovers’ persona.

“I’ve loved this woman since I was eight and I will love her until the day I die.”

While I do love these types of romances, I just wish there was a little more suspense in it.

10710678 1590551397839851 182623485043362767 n

While justified, I completely understand the fear of jeopardizing what you have with a person or losing them completely by trying to take things to the next level. It’s scary and unnerving. I get that.

“Not wanting to touch him is almost as hard as not breathing. I’m starting to feel as if I need him to survive. This is exactly what I didn’t want to happen.”

I just, didn’t get why it had to be acted upon through the presence of Lucas and his perverted fantasy of his. I just, hmmm. I don’t know. I got Lucas’ state of mind when he explained it, but, at the same time I didn’t. It made me feel confusion and yet pity.

Over all though, I did like this novel. I just wish there was a bit more depth besides the stakes they’re up against by jumping into a relationship or in bed with the other.

Otherwise, it was an irresistible read that I could not put down!!

I do hope that there will be a Lucas novel somewhere, as well as, perhaps a Harley and even an Ace one too, in the future!! Pretty please?!!

My first five-star book of the year. To say Something for the Pain is right up my alley is an understatement. Victoria Ashley is the queen of writing outside the normal, with the hero stealing the heroine away from the other guy. I do recommend reading Get off the Pain first to understand certain events.

Alex and Tripp have been best friends since they were kids. They are inseparable and always put each other first. Both secretly in love with each other and afraid to take the next step and ruin their friendship. Both have commitment issues. Alex with his one night stands and Tripp in an open relationship with her boyfriend, Lucas

Tripp asks Alex to move in with her and her “boyfriend “ in the new house they just rented. Alex is worried that Lucas will be jealous and learns that they have an open relationship. Alex is taken back and is upset and believes Lucas doesn’t deserve her.

“Yeah, well if I were your man . . .” I pause to tilt back my beer. “You better believe I would be the only one pleasuring you. I protect and take care of what is mine, and you wouldn’t need other men to please you. I would be yours . . . anytime, anyway, and any fucking where.”

After he moves in, Lucas has an idea to have Alex sleep with Tripp while he watches. After some convincing, they do, and Alex does it because this is his one chance to be with Tripp and show her how she should be pleasured. Teach Lucas a lesson. Neither one of them expected to have so much passion. I needed a cigarette after that—5/5 for the steam factor. I would have loved to read Lucas's POV at that moment.

My whole body surrendered to his. He completely owned me, and that is something that Lucas has never been able to do.

Both try and go back to their normal; lines are blurred, and confusion sets in for both of them.

“You don’t think I want to fuck you . . . that I haven’t thought about setting this tattoo gun down, locking the door, and stripping you the rest of the way out of those little shorts?” I tug on my hair in frustration. “Dammit, Tripp. I want to do things to your body right now and leave my mark on you so badly that I can’t even fucking think straight. I want to bury myself deep between those thighs and ruin you for any other man.

I fell in love with Alex in Get off the pain. The way he treats Tripp warms your heart, and you can't help but want your own Alex. He is built like a Greek God on top of that. Anyone with two eyes on their world can see how much these two love each other, except for them—another great gem from Victoria Ashley.

Best friends to lovers...

A decent best friends to lovers read. Nothing new or thrilling. There’s some OM drama and the hero does flirt and have intimate moments with OW off page. These two are in love, but don’t want to “ruin the friendship” by taking things further.

My Thoughts - Story
I am NEVER disappointed when Ms Ashley messages me asking to review a new book she wrote. She has the ability to captivate me in a story and can touch each of my emotions.

She not only gives you an emotional story but has a way of incorporating steamy sexual scenes that always gives me hot flashes.

This book is another example of her pinpoint character development and one of my favorites to read about also. We have the story of a lifelong friendship on the surface with the undercurrent of more. I absolutely loved how Ms Ashley developed this relationship from friendship to lovers!! SPOT ON!

Re-Cap
Tripp and Alex have been friends for over a decade but the older they get…the more they both fight the physical attraction they feel for each other.

When the chance comes for Alex to get an apartment together with Tripp and the guy she is seeing….Alex jumps on the chance but soon enough, the sexual tension comes to all time high.

Will these two take the chance to experience more than just friendship? And if they do, is it enough for a FOREVER kind of love?

WARNING: This is a triangle and OW abound for both men. It's still 4 fucking stars. Give me a minute before you auto-pass.

Ok...one of my train-wreck weaknesses are triangles. Not all by any means. Most are so stupid I won't bother. I'm very particular with my triangles. They either have to be so disastrous the emotional fallout is beautifully presented by the writer or so not the point of the plot they work.

This one...the h is dating the OM. The H is her BFF and the brother of the H from the first in this series...(also good and no triggers there). This H is IN LOVE with his h and doesn't think it's mutual. Like, at all. The h has no clue and really liked him as well. The H doesn't want to fuck up their friendship so he loves her from afar and bangs OW cuz he won't pursue any kind of relationship with anyone else. She's also been dating the OM (who took her virginity) for a few years. All 3 are best friends. She doesn't really want the OM the way she thinks she should and can't see her life without the H in it. The H leaves OW mid-coitus (lol) if the h calls, he's fucking devoted.

Safety gang...Ladies, if you can make the leap, this one rocks. There aren't graphic OW scenes. The H is all about the h once she gives him the green light. It's not him that's stopped the H/h from being together, it's her. The OM isn't great either. He's doing OW all the time with the h's blessing. So you can dislike him easily. The "cheating" of the H/h is "ok" because the h/OM have an open relationship and the OM suggests the H/h fuck...while he watches...which they do. It was pretty hot. Seriously.

The entire plot revolves around the untangling of this knot. And it was definitely 4 stars for me.

Only 10% in and already I had to give up. Dialogues were so non-realistic it became annoying. And disturbing. You can’t focus on the story when you keep thinking “This is bullshit. No one talks like this in real life !”.

Victoria Ashley always brings the heat in her books. They are wonderfully erotic and extremely sexy. I enjoyed the reading despite a few things bothering me throughout. The plot was predictable BUT still enjoyable. I'm a HUGE fan of dirty-talking heroes and Alex Carter was definitely one of them. There were parts that were sweet, a little emotional, and heavy. There were parts that were a little repetitive, but it didn't deter me from continuing on. This was fast-paced with not a lot of angst. I enjoyed Alex's POV. I'm a big fan of love stories given in the male POV. Something for the Pain was dual POV, but I could have done without Tripp's side. I didn't connect with her well. She was a little too much 'oh, woe is me' in this book.

The chemistry between Alex and Tripp was good. The chemistry between Lucas and Tripp was not so good, but that might have been intentional. The leading characters said each other's names WAY too much. That made it a little awkward and a little too forced. I was digging the secondary characters, Ace and Harley. It seems like the author has another story there. We do get a little bit of Memphis and Lyric from book 1, but I could have used more because I adored those characters and missed them greatly.

Towards the end, the declaration of love was a little anti-climactic and felt a little rushed. I wanted something emotional, something big, and it fell flat. All in all, I DID like this read, I just wish that it reached me on a deeper emotional level like Book 1 did. That being said, if you are an erotic romance reader, you should try this book out. It will get you all hot and bothered. If you are looking for a more powerful and emotional sexy read, this might not touch your heart the way you want, but it will make you blush.

4.5 stars!! I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Alex and Tripp have been best friends since they were little kids. They've been there for each other during all the worst times of their lives. It's obvious to the reader from the very start that they're in love with each other, but neither one of them admit it to themselves. They use the lame excuse that they wouldn't want to ruin their friendship if they were to try out the relationship thing. I get that, it's a common theme in romances but it always makes me want to smack them silly until they wake up to the fact that you SHOULD be best friends with your partner! So having that foundation first isn't a negative, but a really good thing when beginning a more intimate relationship. As romance readers we thrive on that back and forth and the angst it puts us through, though. I was rooting for them to figure their crap out the whole time because I just knew they'd be perfect together.

There was one line that Tripp said that really bothered me, and continues to do so. She said, "The only first I couldn’t give him was my virginity, because it would have ruined everything. I can’t even picture losing him as my best friend, and that’s what would happen by letting my feelings or sexual attraction for him get in the way. That is exactly why I gave it to Lucas instead. Alex means too much." Wth?!?! Ponder that for a moment. Someone means too much to you, so you give the thing you can only give one special person to someone else instead. I don't get it and it got me off on the wrong foot with her. Luckily, I liked Alex enough that Tripp's erroneous thinking couldn't bring me down. Once she started admitting to herself what she really felt for Alex I started liking her more.

Because they'd played the friend part for so long, trying to make it something else wasn't easy. Especially considering Tripp is dating their best friend. Move all 3 of them into the same house, and the tension between them thickened, as it was harder to ignore those feelings they kept pushing away. Then to think they could have sex just one time and still remain just friends afterwards? Well, all hell is bound to break loose!! But oh, what a fiery hot and sexy hell it is.

The chemistry between Alex and Tripp is undeniable and when they come together physically it's an explosion of fireworks not only with their bodies, but also their hearts. There's no turning back from that!!

Alex has always looked out for Tripp and her latest favor will test their bond

I’ve made a lot of mistakes – ones I’m not proud of, and definitely ones that have left their marks both mentally and physically. Things got lonely; I got lost in my own fucked up mind and in the end it left me fucked out of my mind and unable to fight – or at least win. That life’s over for me and I’ve moved on. (Amazon blurb)

They were simply made for each other - the best of friends who are able to tell each other anything (well, almost), who need each other and who support each other during the good, the bad and the ugly. Tripp is a sexy and confident woman who knows what she enjoys from her men while Alex, although in love with with Tripp, is a ladies man - beds, satisfies and leaves them all on his time. From the moment Alex agrees to move in with Tripp and Lucas, things get quite interesting: the sexual tension, the battle betwen Lucas and Alex, the opportunity Lucas offers the two friends. I have become an overnight fan of Victoria Ashley from not only my sleepless nights (not too sure yet if that's a good thing!), but her story is hot, humorous, and the relationship between the characters more than relatable. And now, I know I have to get my hands on the rest of Victoria Ashley's library and only hope that her upcoming novels are just as entertaining, if not more.

This is the story of Tripp and Alex, best friends since childhood, they’ve shared the good times and bad times they are always there for each other above anything and anyone else.Alex will do anything for Tripp and she him.Alex has feelings for Tripp but their friendship is so special to him he doesn’t ever want to ruin what they have so he stays silent,he has women, lots of women but none mean anything to him its just sex.Tripp also has feelings for Alex but shes in an open relationship with Lucas. When Tripp asks Alex to move in with her and Lucas that’s when things get complicated, feelings and passion intensify especially when he realises the nature of Tripp and Lucas’s relationship his protective nature goes into overdrive! When Lucas requests something of Alex and Tripp that’s when things reach boiling point and things between the friends explode into something Alex has dreamed about and wanted for so long,it builds a stronger more powerful relationship between them and leaves them wanting so much more.Do they take the step of friends to lovers?Or will they convince themselves they are better off as just friends?
I loved this book I was hooked from the very first pages,I have read every book that Victoria has written and maybe Alex and Tripps story is my favourite so far!!Its a friends to lovers story yes,but its so much more than that its an emotional, sexy, passionate read but also a story of a strong friendship, you can feel the bond they share, the love they have for each other pours from the pages.I loved the characters too all bring something amazing to this story and we see Memphis from book one too.Alex was an amazing character he was a dirty talking bad boy tattooist but he has a huge heart you cant help but fall in love with him!! Tripp was sweet kind and caring she knew what she wanted but was afraid to go after it until some coaxing from friends and Alex made her finally realise where her heart truly belonged.I cant wait to see what Victoria has in store for us next!!!

****Received a complimentary copy in exchange for an honest review.****

Some books are so hyped up when you first hear about them and they end up falling short when you finally do get the chance to read it. I'm hear to say that Victoria not only hypes that shit up, but delivers WAY better than you expected because Alex's story is phenomenal!!!! You won't be disappointed!

I'll say that I'm not new to Victoria Ashley; I've read a few of her books before and that's how I know she's a phenomenal writer. I'll say that this series is my favorite of everything she's did. Memphis stole my heart in the first one. Severely loyal to his family and he has a take no shit personality. Story or not, I related to him a lot and I related to Lyric just as much. I was hesitant on whether I would like Alex and I suppose it was because I loved Memphis and Lyrics' story so much, I was afraid Alex's story wouldn't compare. I was right; it didn't compare: it was better!

Not only is this story beautifully written, but the protagonist is exactly what he should be. His story in this writing is laid out phenomenally. Like Memphis, Alex is dealt a pretty shit hand in life and when Memphis ends up in jail, Alex does exactly what his brother tried to prevent him from doing to keep him out of trouble. Alex and Tripp grew up together and forged a friendship strong enough to battle everything. Now, as adults, the lines are starting to blur for both of them despite the fact that they try everything to keep those feelings buried---but does it work? You'll have to read to find that out!!!

HOT as hell, well written, and at times, very unpredictable, this book fires all of your cylinders and keeps you on your toes!! The ending was a little rushed for me, but that doesn't deter from how amazing the book was in my opinion at all! I can only hope to have the honor to be considered for another ARC from Victoria in the future!

Victoria Ashley has done it again. She drew me into this story and I couldn't wait to see how everything would play out with these characters. I'll admit that I HATE a love triangle, it is just the worst to me, but when I started reading this book I couldn't help but be sucked in and really want to know how Alex and Tripp would play things out.

Immediately I could feel the overwhelming sexual tension rolling off these two. All of their interactions we just filled with raw sexual tension and I couldn't help but wonder how they had ignored it for so long before. When Tripp's not boyfriend suggested that they let go for one night and pleasure each other, well let's just say that everything just got even better from their. I really don't know how the two only thought that they could have the one time and be done.

Alex and Tripp were made for each other and even though it took them thirteen years to figure it out, I am glad that they did. I really liked all the steamy sexually tense parts of this book, but I really loved the parts where each character showed their vulnerable sides as well. I liked that Tripp and Alex had the friendship that everyone wants and I like that their friendship was like what most couples want too. They were just so perfect with each other. Both so dedicated and loving to one another. I love that they are in each others lives so much. I also love that everyone around them could see the love that they had for each other. A love that most people search for and they had it all along, but were too scared to lose each other to try anything more.

The ending to this book is great. It made me smile and love all the struggles that they had to go through to get their Something for the Pain.

This is a MUST read if you are a Victoria Ashley fan!

Once again Victoria blew me away with another amazing book! I know Victoria is one author that I can read and never be disappointed! I was fortunate enough to get an Advanced Copy of this book and I devoured it as fast as I could! I loved Get Off On The Pain, but I have to say I loved SFTP more! Alex was such an amazing character. Even thought Victoria makes him a tattooed badass boy, he is such a softy with a huge heart for this best friend :)

Tripp and Alex have been friends since they were little, and now that they are grown up they both start to realize there are feelings there for each other even though neither of them want to admit it to themselves. They go day to day as best friends scared to say anything to one another. One chance night, with the help of a "friend", things change for both of them and put them on a path that they have to choose what they want!

I absolutely love a book that starts with the main characters being friends and then love interests! I devoured this book piece by piece and fell in love with Alex and Tripp. The emotional bond they share, whether its as best friends or lovers, is amazing and completely off the charts. These two can read each others emotions and feelings like a book and it makes us as the readers feel all that emotion as well.

Amazing job by Victoria :)

Victoria Ashley does it again! Another sexy read with a dirty talking bad boy determined to
prove he is a good man! This is a great friends to lovers story. This is part of a series and while it can be read alone I would recommend reading at least Memphis's book first so you understand what's going on in regards to Alex's childhood and the references to
fighting Using my 1-5 rating system of how many kleenex you need due to crying, how many times you need to change your panties, and how many asses you laugh off I give it:
2 kleenex's/5 panties/0 asses With most friends to lovers stories there's a little bit of stress over their changing relationship but with this story with dual POV we get to see how both characters are wracked with doubt about if it's worth risking their friendship. That's literally the only conflict in the book is with themselves not really each other. This doubt is played upon by Lucas to try to keep them apart emotionally.
Characters:
Alex
Alex is Memphis's little brother and a sexy tattoo artist manwhore. Tripp is his best friend
and he will do anything to ensure the safety and happiness of his Firecracker.
Tripp
Tripp is a 21 year old waitress/bartender who has abandonment issues due to her mother. She is dating a friend named Lucas but doesn't want to commit to a serious relationship with him. Her best friend Alex has always been there for her and when she calls he drops everything for her. I only have a few issues with this book that may be my own personal quirks. First off is believability that a waitress, a tattoo artist and a young bank employee would be able to afford this amazing 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom, indoor pool having house. The second is Tripp is very whiny and self centered. And finally for an Alpha man Alex is very...hesitant. Even with those issues this is a good sexy read with some very very hot scenes between Alex and Tripp!

first off I was gifted an arc for an honest review.

holy shit!!!! victoria killed it again!!!! I absolutely love her writing. she is one of my favorites so maybe I'm a little partial. this book by far exceeded any expectations I had. it was amazing from start to finish. and of course I devoured every single word in one setting. I couldn't get enough of Tripp and Alex.

Alex is a freakin hot tattoo artist that loves women. although he loves one woman more than any other, Tripp. they've been best friends for years and he couldn't be away from her if he tried. he loves her with his whole freakin life. it doesn't matter what he's doing or who he's doing.... if she needs him he's there. I love Alex!!!! his devotion to the people he cares about is absolutely amazing and he would do anything for them. such a great man!

Tripp is such a little sweetheart! Alex was her first real friend in life and she's stuck with him through thick and thin. she's just as devoted to him and he is to her. she's his little firecracker! always has been and always will be. there's not a man she can depends on more than Alex.

their chemistry and sexual tension is soooo damn hot. I couldn't get enough! the flirting and banter they have with each other is just awesome. being best friends for so many years makes taking the next step scary as hell. so many emotions in this book! you're definitely going to get all the feels plus more with this kick ass read!

victoria ashley is just freakin brilliant! how she comes up with amazing stories and makes you connect deep down with the characters is unreal. I love her writing style. it's not just crazy sex the whole time it's a great story with amazing characters that have undeniable chemistry in all the best ways! don't miss this one people! way to go victoria! you fucking rock!!!!!

Let me just start this review by saying I'm blown away. This is my favorite all time read from Victoria Ashley, and for several reasons. I've read all of her books, and even though each different, this one is the most. Job well done my gem. This is a phenomenal friends to lovers story, so here goes...

Alex Carter. Most would love him. It's hard not to. He really is it all in one package. He's loving, protective, and has a personality that would spark interest with anyone. I loved him. Once he finally figured out what he wanted he went after it, and that is applaudable. This is one quality I love in characters. I actually loved that there wasn't a ton of "drama" between side characters. It was genuinely a light read, and I loved that about it. The chapters that took us back into their lives before were some of my favorites, giving you a look into their friendship in the past. Those were gems within the story.

Tripp Daniels. I must say I did like her character. There were times I literally was shaking my head, thinking to myself, grow up woman and take what you want, but then the story would have probably been half as long. LOL. Overall she was a pretty good girl. She never really had a naughty side, but then again she's spent her life with the person that would be her ONE, so that's okay and welcome. What her and Alex have is a rare find.

This story had twist and turns that I honestly was not expecting, and when you've read all of an authors books and can say that... well it's a beautiful thing. I'm giving this five original stars. Just when I thought I knew what was going to happen I was surprised. If you like a light-hearted read with swoon worthy characters then give this one a try. You won't regret it.

What happens when you have been in love with your best friend since you where eight, how do you tell her you love her without everything falling apart. Without everything you both been through together being lost. That the dilemma Alex is in. He would do any thing for Tripp, she's the only girl he will drop everything for and do anything for.

Tripp has always loved Alex, he has always been there for her and would even move the earth for her if she asked, she loves him but fear stops her from telling him, fear that things between them will change and he won't be in her life any more and that would kill her not having him in her life.

Victoria Ashley has written a beautiful book about true love, a love that forms from a bond that is so great that nothing and no one can break, a love that two people fear that what they have will be lost if they take it further and they will both not able to live.

Don't worry this book has it dramas, denial and most of a all fear of loosing the one thing that make them whole.

This book will have you laughing and crying you will not rest until they both admit they love each other, those around them know they do, they can see it but fear has the two friends denying it.

Also this book is so hot and sexy you will crave a bond just like theirs. You will want to feel their love and your heart will ache for these lovers.

I loved this book and it will be me that I will read over again just to get that warm fuzzy feeling of love.

I gave this book 5 stars but I would give it more if I could because it one of the book that I think really hit you heart with cupid’s arrow.

Wait for it ...Almost there .... Awwwwwwww

I freaking love Alex and Tripp. They are now my most favorite couple ever ..

Victoria Ashley knocked this book out of the park in overtime.

The struggle is real when your friends. Maintaining a friendship when you might not agree with everything that friend might do and who with but throw some hot steaming sex in and all kinds of stuff will get thrown off track.

We all met Alex from the first book in this series and I have to say I knew he was going to be a knock out. But After reading this book I have no doubt he is the best. With a one two punch this book gave it all and some more. I could not put it down and dreaded having to go to work today after staying up to three in the morning reading and devouring this story. No worries because I took my book with me to work and read while sitting at my computer when the manager disappeared in his office.

I absolutely hated to read THE END. I could keep reading Alex and Tripps story.

I love all Victoria Ashley's books but this series of books always has my heart beating and emotions pulled up close. I think I cried right along with Tripp and felt both her and Alex's heart ache. Let not mention the douche Lucas (Okay probably not being fair to him since he was just going by what Tripp wanted but dude you snooze you lose or in Lucas case sleep with others and let a HOT guy like Alex slip in the you so do not deserve the chick.""

*Sighs* I just love Alex and would love to be his "Something For The Pain."

3.5 stars

Victoria Ashley is a new to me author. I was happy to read and review this new release from her. I like the friends to lovers trope and couldn't wait to see her twist on this.

The s3xual tension was through the roof from the first chapter on! Don't read this one in public--people will wonder why you are flushed. Of course, when there finally is some heated action between Tripp and Alex, it is more than the both of them could have imagined.

So only 3.5 hearts from me for this one. I'm not sure my exact aversion to the story. The writing is spot on. As I said, the tension is a steamy build. I think the age of the characters and Tripp's inability to see the goodness that was right in front of her led to my mehhh feelings on the overall story. I couldn't connect or understand where Tripp's head was at most of the time other than she was lusting after Alex. I found myself feeling bad for Alex at some points. I would have liked to see them declare their love sooner and then work through relationship issues after that.

I was not a fan of Lucas and not sure what purpose that story line served except the idea of forbidden romance. The other secondary characters were well developed and I would be interested in reading another story from this author.

Overall, well written, just some overly predictable moments and definitely a very immature NA POV. Not for me but others may enjoy it.

Tripp and Alex have been friends for 13 years. They have always been close, always been there for each other. Tripp comes back into Alex's life and he would do anything for her. An opportunity arrives where Tripp, Alex and their other friend Lukas all move in together. But Lukas suggests one wild night. Tripp is scared it will change everything, Alex wants Tripp. Can they have 1 night together without it changing everything?
This is the first book of Victoria Ashley's I have read. I've heard lots of good things about her work, so I jumped at the chance to read this book.
I really enjoyed the book, the characters were gripping and pulled me in from the start. Alex is your hot male lead, he's had problems in his past but is coming through the hard times.
Tripp hasn't had it easy either but she had her aunt and Alex there to help her.
The story was kind of predictable which put me off. I love a story to have the twists and turns. The "omg did that just happen?" moments. But about 30% in I thought I know what's going to happen. But it wasn't that much of a big deal, like I said I did enjoy reading it.
There were moments I was laughing along with characters, and then it had me crying. I felt their emotions just like they were my own.
I'm going to stalk Victoria to see what other books of hers I can read.
4 stars!!

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review!!

This is the first book I have read by Victoria Ashely and I am kicking myself for not reading before this. I plan on reading everything I can by her in the near future!

She has pulled me into Alex's story from the first line of the book, and left me wanting more after reading the last word. What can I say about this book. Its freaking amazing, I can't give this book enough stars, its a MUST READ!!!!!

Alex...umm damn this man is HOT Robert Simmons (Cover Model) is the perfect Alex, There is no better man to imagine as Alex. I love Alex, he just made the Ultimate Book Boyfriend list for sure. He is a tattoo artist that plays the guitar, is very caring of Tripp (his best friend). They have been best friends since childhood. She is the one to help him with every bad thing, she is what helps with the Pain he goes thru.

Tripp has an open relationship with Lucas, they can have fun with who ever they want to, with no judgment.
Lucas wants to watch Alex and Tripp have sex, he thinks it will be hot as hell.

Will Alex and Tripp be willing to do what Lucas wants? Can they still be friends if they do or will it destroy 13 years of friendship?

One click this book for sure!!!!
