OAKLAND – The Warriors lead the NBA in shooting percentage, making 50.8 percent of their shots.

No other team in the league is shooting over 50 percent. It’s a very impressive number, but with sharpshooters such as Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson, Warriors’ coach Steve Kerr said he’s not surprised that his team is making their shots at such a good clip.

In fact, Kerr went on to say that he expects that his team will shoot so highly through the entire season.

“If we stay relatively healthy, I think we probably will,” Kerr said. “The way the game is played now, and the way our team works together, I mean, we’re halfway through the year and we’re almost 51 percent. I think we probably will.”

That being said, if the defending champions dip under 50 percent, Kerr said he won’t lose sleep over it.

“If we’re 49.7, that’s fine too,” Kerr said.

The Warriors are on a three-game trip, in which they play at Dallas, Houston and the Los Angeles Clippers. They currently have the best record in the West (29-8), and are two games ahead of the second-place Rockets.

Steve Kerr was named Western Conference Coach of the Month, not a surprise considering how well the team did despite losing Stephen Curry to a right ankle sprain for 11 games.
