Dwight Howard fought a woman on Twitter and lost badly

On a lazy, Wednesday night in summer, Dwight Howard went on Twitter to respond to some tweets from followers. Most of his responses were of the “sup” variety — Howard’s standard shout-out to fans asking how he’s doing. Other messages were more contentious. One  said Howard shouldn’t have left the Lakers, so Howard responded with a tweet suggesting the fan move on.

This led to a response from a Twitter user @UHateBre, a handle we’ll soon find out is completely appropriate.

I’d imagine people tweet at Howard all the time telling him he’s not going to win a ring. Yet he chose to engage @UHateBre despite her handle suggesting she’s a professional hater who probably wouldn’t let anything affect her  game, not a response from a huge star nor something like, say, petty squabbling with Kobe Bryant.

That upped the ante a bit, Dwight. That was like bring a knife to a fistfight, sort of like those guys in the “Beat It” video. All @UHateBre did was talk about a ring that, yeah, Howard’s probably not going to win in Houston. So he goes out and insults her face? There’s only one way to thrown down to that response.

If you’re scoring at home, that’s @UHateBre: 10,000, Dwight Howard: 0.
