Hello there panda dreamboats. How goes it? We’re feeling stormy with a hint of cavalier precipitation in the top secret fierce panda headquarters (up to the second floor, turn left by the architects at the end of the loooooooooong corridor and we’re in the left hand corner opposite the eerie toilets) as we enter a frankly mind-baffling run of releases and live shows with some of the freshest, fruitiest new leftfield talents around with names like GHOST SUNS and PEEPING DREXELS and JEKYLL.

Plus! This week we announce a brilliant brand new urban festival-type event alert! Plus forget not our perennially hectic Pandamonium! Playlist lurking over there in potty Spotifyland.

GHOST SUNS 'CARDS ON A BICYCLE' SINGLE: DIGITAL

So last Friday (September 21st) French electropop twosome GHOST SUNS released ‘Cards On A Bicycle’, their excellently brand new digital single which sees them take their melancholically uplifting sound and layer it with a bold symphonic pop palaver. We’d probably call it ‘synth-phonic’ if we weren’t completely sober. Go experience ‘Cards On A Bicycle’ on these digital platforms

Either way, singer Lola’s yearning vocal embraces a nostalgic lyrical mood which fits the sweeping soundscapes to a sweet, sweet tee, as you may expect from a boy / girl duo whose Transeuropean synth-slicked paeans make us think of the deathless heyday of ZTT Records. Check out the sensual animated video for previous single ‘Why Criminal’? – nominated for an award at next month’s Ibiza Music Festival, would ya believe? - over here.

Oh, and Ghost Suns play the H&M Early Sessions at The Social in London Town on October 25th – more details soon.

PEEPING DREXELS 'RAY PURCHASE' SINGLE: PRE-ORDER

So this Friday coming (September 28th) PEEPING DREXELS release their brrrrand new single. Five reprobates who define themselves as "South London scum with sloppy beats and sleazy melodies," P-Drex have been shining a radio light with recent banger ‘Bill’s Drift’. Now 'Toast Of London' TV show fankids will be delighted to hear that the quintet's rampantly new ramshackle single is a paean to the painful turtlenecks of one 'Ray Purchase', and you can pre-order that single from these digital platforms right now.

Their notoriously chaotic live shows have left a trail of breathless destruction in Peeping Drexels' reckless wake, with singer Dylan often performing masked for much of the set. Of course! Go check their cheeky post-punk chops at these shows here this week:

'Ray Purchase' is a joint venture release between the indie stalwart fierce panda (that’s us) and the perky young Permanent Creeps label, who are also involved in management, live shows and general all-round music championing. You’ll be hearing more about them, that’s for sure.

* A BRAND NEW URBAN FESTIVAL-TYPE EVENT ALERT! *

In fact here they are being heard again! Because the Permanent Creeps and fierce panda organisations have also teamed up for the first ever 'OUT OF ORDER: FEST!' this winter. It’s a brand spanking new annual celebration of amazing new music, and we've brought together an absolute plethora of ridiculously awesome bands – eighteen in total - for your distinctly unknown pleasure. The Out Of Order Fest will take place across six distinct and distinctly autumnal Thursday eves at The Social in the West End of Londonshire between October 11th and December 13th.

Expect manic alt.rockin’ post-punkin’ perambulations from the ferociously fresh-faced likes of Krush Puppies, Underwater Boys, Circe, Meggie Brown, Egyptian Blue, Squid, Talk Show, Famous, MOONOVERSUN, Drip Gloss, Scrounge, Claw Marks and Uncanny Valley, not to mention some EXTREMELY exciting SECRET HEADLINERS and special guests just waiting to be announced. Some of these gigs are totally free, some are ticketed shows - see the ticket link for individual events and see the fulsome line-up on the poster above..

Forget not that the ‘So Wrong’ song is from the jauntily smashed ‘Jekyll’ EP which you can hear on these digital platforms and which was released as part of the second fierce panda EP Club which is running right now with the bountiful support of Arts Council England.

Lots more EP Club fun coming soon, and we’ll be back next week with panda news a’plenty about S.G. Wolfgang, Sad Boys Club, Scrounge and other splendidly sensational bands beginning with ‘S’.

Until then, TTFN.
