On Wednesday 18th November 2015, John Barnard and Samuel Reed will be coming to the university to give a lecture

on their experiences in the games industry. John as an environmental artist and Sam as an indie game developer.

All Games Students and anyone that has an interest in the area should come to the talk and Q&A.

John Barnard

Freelance Environment Artist @ Pixel Pilgrim

John is a 2009 ex-graduate of the Computer Games Design Course. John has worked at AAA game studios like Ninja Theory and Splash Damage and Rockstar Leeds as an environmental artist. He over 6 years of games studio experience, which gives me a deep understanding of the development process. This enables him to create art that not only looks fantastic but is also neat and efficient.


Come and see his talk on the game industry from an artists perspective.

Co Founder @ Hypersloth


Sam is a 2015 ex-graduate of Computer Games Design at Huddersfield University. His first game Dream for his company Hypersloth hasbeen released on steam. He is working on future indie projects.

Come listen to his talk on his experience on indie game development.
