Rumors of Harvey Weinstein’s presence swirl at Sundance

PARK CITY, Utah — Harvey Weinstein might be gone, but he’s certainly not forgotten.

Rumors have plagued Park City that the disgraced Hollywood mogul is at the Sundance Film Festival this year. A source told Page Six that they heard Weinstein was taking meetings, but he hadn’t been seen publicly.

A separate source told Page Six that Weinstein’s former assistant attended the Gucci and Chime for Change event on Sunday, adding fuel to the buzz that Weinstein might have been in Park City.

Weinstein has been accused of sexual assault and faces criminal charges, which could complicate the rumored jaunt to Sundance. As The Post reported in May, Weinstein was being forced to wear a GPS monitoring bracelet that would alert authorities if he left New York or Connecticut.

Weinstein recently appeared in Manhattan Supreme Court with his ex-lawyer, Ben Brafman, and his new team — Jose Baez, Ron Sullivan and Duncan Levin, who will handle his upcoming trial, which is slated to begin May 6.

A rep countered the rumors to Page Six, saying, “This story just adds to the conundrum of seeking objectivity for Mr. Weinstein. Any rumor someone wishes to start is too easily carried by media without verification. Aside from his travel restrictions, he was where he prefers to be; having fun with his children at a local show.”

Alleged Weinstein sightings have become frequent at film gatherings: Last year actress and Weinstein accuser Rosanna Arquette publicly alleged Weinstein was at the Beverly Hills during a Golden Globes press event. His reps denied it.
