Single Family Team Posts Record-Breaking Numbers

Our Single Family team working to make more La. families become homeowners
The LHC's Single Family team has had two record-breaking months in a row, creating 111 new homeowners in just two months.

In October, the team pooled 44 loans for $6.4 million compared to 27 loans for $3.99 million in 2015.  This September, the team pooled 67 loans for $9.2 million compared to 30 loans for $4.3 million last year. LHC Helps Ms. Zena Transition from Homelessness to Homeownership

Ms. Zena in her beautiful new home
One of the newest residents to call an LHC development home is Ms. Zena who lives in SugarHouse Phase III in Alexandria.

Ms. Zena, who was formerly homeless, is now the proud homeowner of a 1,491 square foot home with three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a double carport.

The project consisted of $2 million in HOME funds and $320,754 in CHDO funds. It is a great example of how non-profit community-based organizations, private partners and public agencies collaborate to address housing and community development needs in the state.
