Our goal for the WAAG is to inform parents and students of important events and provide important announcements. For the Daily Schedule make sure to click on the menu button and find out about our weekly events. Click HERE for a printable version of the WAAG.

Request for additional Graduation Tickets

For those families who are in need of more than NINE tickets, we are asking that families complete a request form that will be live by 9 p.m. on Sunday, May 20th through Tuesday May 22nd by 3pm. We will send a Jupiter message as well as make the link available on the schools website.

TICKETS ARE LIMITED, the submitted request forms is NOT a guarantee that you will receive these tickets.

All submissions are time stamped and we will be providing a maximum of 5 extra tickets on a FIRST-COME-FIRST SERVED basis to the families who fill out the google form.

The deadline to complete the link is 3 p.m. on May 22nd. The number of extra tickets is limited and completing this form is not a guarantee that you will receive extra tickets. Students who request extra tickets will receive these in addition to their allotted nine tickets on Friday, June 1st after they are cleared by their counselor and the student must be present with their identification cards.

Thank you for your patience and understanding. We are looking forward to graduation on June 5th at 8:45am at Southwestern College. Congratulations to the class of 2018!

Grad Nite Late Bus

If you have a CIF game and/or a VAPA event that prevents you from leaving for Grad Nite at 10am, please sign up HERE to be considered for the late bus. You will need to be dropped off at Disneyland, meet up with the chaperone to go through the Disney's screening process in order for you to be allowed into Grad Nite. You MUST be signed in to your district.net account. Mr. Lopez will need to approve.

ELH and ELM - Master Plan Community Meeting

On behalf of the Sweetwater Union High School District, please join us on May 17th , 2018 @ 6:00 p.m. in the EHS cafeteria for a presentation on school site facility master plans. School Site Master Plans identify facility needs, and assist in developing the future of our campus. A presentation of the master plan will be followed by community engagement focus groups. Graduation announcements from SD Grad are available for pick up at the ASB

Graduation Tickets for Seniors

Graduation is on June 5th 2018 at Southwestern College @ 8:45am. Southwestern College cannot exceed its capacity so for safety and security reasons and in the efforts of trying to accommodate as many students and their families as possible, each graduating senior will be limited to 9 tickets to invite family and friends to the ceremony. These tickets will be distributed to the students after senior clearance by the Counselors on Friday June 1st. For those families who are in need of more than 9 tickets, we will have a process in place for requesting additional tickets. Extra tickets are extremely limited and cannot be guaranteed. More information for requesting tickets will come later.

Eastlake Dance Company presents - Senior Farewell show - May 17 & 18 at the Ruth Chapman Theater.

Show starts 7 pm and doors open at 6:30 pm. You can purchase tickets online athttps://www.tututix.com/client/eastlakehsdancecompany/

or at the door for $12, $17 and $22. This show may sell out, don't wait, get your tickets soon.

Teacher and Staff Appreciation

The PTSA needs your help! Go to the Counseling Center and pick up a pennant to decorate for a teacher or staff member you would like to thank. They must be returned to the Counseling Center by May 19th. If you would like to be in a video presentation, Ms. Niemyer in the Counseling Center can give you more information. Let’s show the teachers and staff of Eastlake our appreciation!

Summer Volunteer Opportunity at San Diego Natural History Museum

The San Diego Natural History Museum is looking for volunteers for their summer camps. Summer Camps run from June 18-August 17 with shifts from 8 AM–4:30 PM and we ask for a minimum commitment of 2 weeks and 3 is preferred. Volunteers in our camps insure that our campers have an enjoyable and safe experience. Ideal camp Aides enjoy working with children and are willing to get their hands dirty during craft or other activities. There are 5 requirements for becoming a camp aide: Minimum age of 16, Experience in working with young children (babysitting, Sunday school, tutoring, other camps, etc.) is preferred. An in-person interview, Two letters of recommendation from a teacher, volunteer supervisor, or another adult (non-relative) who can vouch for you, Attendance at an orientation (dates to be determined). Non-privilege List - PLEASE READ!!! Click HERE to see list(5/02/18)

NP lists are updated weekly and posted ASB and Main Office. You will NOT be able to participate in any school-sponsored event(Including Graduation) if your name is on the Non-Privileged list. THIS tutorial shows how to check attendance on Infinite Campus.If you have read the entire week at a glance, study up the page and find Mr. Lopez to tell him the phrase of the week, “Don’t always believe what you see on TV”. Make sure you can answer any question and you’ll receive a prize!. You MUST be clear your name off the non-privileged list two weeks before the event(Click.HERE). Senior Contract, Attendance, library/ASB fines, fundraising debt, Senior contract missing and athletic uniforms or gear owed are all reasons for being placed on this list.

There are 2 SUNDAY school sessions that were added. Both are 8am- 12pm and senior-only sessions. Students must sign up with Ms. Stroberg. May 20th.

Community Service Opportunity - Special Olympics

The special olympics of southern california are hosting opportunities for community service. Get volunteer hours while teaching sports to some olympic athletes! Sports offered are baseball at Veterans Park on Sunday’s from 9-10:30am, and track and field at Chula Vista High School on saturdays from 9-10am. Senior Contracts

Please submit your senior contract to the MAIN OFFICE. They were due back in October so If you have not turned yours in you have been placed on the Non-Privileged list and you will not be able to participate in ANY senior activities(Prom, Grad Nite and Graduation). The list will be updated weekly to reflect the senior contracts turned in.

Password Resets

If you need to reset passwords for any of the following please take these steps

Infinite Campus - Should always be their 8-digit birthday. If you need to have it reset, let your teachers know and the teachers will contact EHS’s IT Guy to have the password reset.Google - Students can use the following LINK to reset their Google passwords. If this does not work they let their teachers know and the teachers will contact EHS’s IT Guy to have the password reset. Jupiter - Students can have their teacher look up their passwords.

Dress Code Reminder

Titans-don’t forget that with the warm temperatures, that attire should protect the health and safety of all students. Be sure that you are following all dress code guidelines.

Youth Action Council

Youth Action Council is composed of 10th, 11th, and 12th graders who attend Chula Vista schools. Members are primarily engaged in a variety of community service projects that initiate outreach to their neighbors and peers.

Additionally, students can earn community services hours for those who are looking to fulfill this graduation requirement. For more information click HERE

Titans, if you have lost any clothes or other personal belongings, be sure to report them to the Lost and Found located in the ASB to check for your lost items. If you find items, please bring them to the ASB to our lost & found. Thank you!
