Expect to see former San Antonio Spurs guard Tony Parker living life in the Alamo City once his playing days are over.
In an interview with The Undefeated, Parker made is clear he has no intentions of returning to France following his retirement from basketball. Instead, he plans to make San Antonio his home.
I will stay in San Antonio. I’ve been there 17 years. All my friends are there now. I like everything. The people, the air, the culture, everything, all the memories. I have a [routine] there now. Schools for the kids, movie theaters, different restaurants. It’s just home.
Parker finished his Spurs career after he signed a free agent deal with the Charlotte Hornets this offseason after 17 seasons.
In San Antonio, Parker went on to capture four NBA titles, the 2007 NBA Finals MVP, and be named to the West All-Star squad six times.
Parker will join other former Spurs who have decided to call San Antonio their home following retirement such as Tim Duncan, David Robinson, George Gervin, Sean Elliott, Antonio Daniels, Matt Bonner and Bruce Bowen just to name a few.
