Engineering

The Science & Technology Department at Haverfordwest High VC School are proud to be able to offer:

• Level 1& 2 Performing Engineering Operations qualifications to Year 10 & 11 pupils.

This course is an NVQ and is ideally suited to those pupils that wish to peruse a career in one of the Engineering sectors. Pupils hone their skills through specific practical tasks which they have to interpret from working drawings. They also have to complete a theory / knowledge question booklet for each task.

Units covered are:

• Health & Safety
• Working with Others
• Interpreting and Communicating Engineering Information
• Sheet Metalwork
• Bench Fitting - with hand tools and machinery
• CAD - Computer Aided Design
