Colorado River Schools - Extra Curricular Fee
The Bullhead City Elementary and Colorado River Union High School Districts generated over $130,000 this year in Extracurricular Tax Credit contributions. The ETC program allows taxpayers to choose a specific program in a school for this money to be utilized and reduces their taxes, dollar for dollar, at the time they file their State tax returns.

There has been some confusion between the Extracurricular Tax Credit contributions and sport/activity fees at each of the schools. Presently, if a student (parent) pays the sport/activity fee ($50 per sport), he/she does not obtain any tax benefit. However, if the student (parent) contributes an Extracurricular Tax Credit ($200 for those filing as a single and $400 for those filing as a married couple), the student does not have to pay the fee AND the parents get the money back on their tax returns.
