Kill Switch starts off right where Live Wire ends and there is no slowing down in sight.

Phira has started to learn how to control her emotions but her second personality is really starting to come out more and more. Phira and her brothers are on the hunt for a kidnapper and killer in the supernatural world. And in the midst of their case, Phira learns of a new gift. It's this gift that will help them even more in finding what and/or who they are looking for.

Amber has added so many more elements along with twists and turns in this book. You are pulled into this story from the start and find yourself wanting and needing to know all the answers immediately. Just when you think you know where this book is going, BAM!, a whole other torrent of shit happens and you are back at square one. And yea, I am not giving you one iota of what happens - one thing could spoil it all.

This series must be read in order or you will be thoroughly confused. Even though there are characters from the Caged series mentioned in this series, you do not need to read that series to understand this one. But if you are loving this series and have not read Caged, you should definitely read it!

What are you waiting for?? Go grab this book and see what all the hype is about!

(RabidReads.com) 4.5/5 stars. Book two of this author’s Blue Eyed Bomb series doesn’t disappoint to say the least. In book one, Live Wire, we were introduced to Phira, a new member of the PC. The PC is a supernatural group responsible for keeping the world safe from supernatural criminals or problems. Phira’s father is Sean, son of Ares, the Greek God of war, and Ruby, a powerful and rare breed of werewolf. These two were the main characters in Natusch’s, Caged series, a favorite of mine. Needless to say, I am completely invested in this series, as I was from pretty much the beginning of Live Wire. If you plan to read Live Wire-which I highly recommend-then you might not want to read this review as it contains spoilers about that book that can’t be helped.

When young women from a small town in Iowa start disappearing in a supernatural way, the PC is on the job to figure out what is happening. All of the women have a supernatural gift and it would seem someone powerful wants to exploit them. The clues all point to the women being taken to Chicago and Phira ends up being sent to work at a strip club that employs these vacant eyed women. She is acting as a D.J. and announcer for the club. Meanwhile, women’s bodies are showing up. Women that are a part of the kidnapped group.

Phira is immortal and very powerful in her own right. She has two brothers that are also PC, but she is the only one of the siblings that inherited another being residing within her body, as Ruby has as well. As Scarlet was Ruby’s bad half, so is Nyx, Phira’s bad half. Phira is still coming into her powers and growing stronger daily. Nyx introduces herself as Death, when speaking to an enemy and she doesn’t exaggerate at all. She just has to take over from Phira to demonstrate. Phira tries to keep a close tie on Nyx, but that doesn’t always work. This particular part of the PC lives in a converted warehouse in Chicago. Besides Phira’s brothers, the place is home to Phira’s evil uncle, Muses, and three of the Fates. T.S. also lives there. Up until the groups last mission at Gabe’s farm, he had been appointed her watchdog by Sean. Now that Phira has proven herself, he still sticks by Phira on his own. Rounding out the group is Gabe, who we first met in Live Wire when Phira shows up at his farm in the middle nowhere with amnesia. Gabe has magic in him as well, although it’s new and no one is really sure what he exactly is yet.

After bonding with Gabe in Live Wire, I really wasn’t happy at how he was treated by Phira in this book. He doesn’t understand why she can’t be with him. And she can’t be with him because of the nature of her work with the PC. Another reason is that they met when she had amnesia, now that she is back to herself, she knows she isn’t really the woman Gabe fell for.Instead, in this book, T.S. becomes more of the love interest-maybe. I really liked T.S.. Of course, not knowing what Gabe is and what he is capable of doesn’t help matters, neither does his horrible temper and jealousy.

I am looking forward to seeing how Phira progresses as her involvement with the PC deepens. I am particularly interested in what happens with both T.S. and Gabe. I would categorize this as mainly urban fantasy, with a side of paranormal romance. I am hoping that the romance part evolves as we go, as it did in the Caged series.

On purpose, I have not told more about the actual events in the story due to spoilers. But there are action scenes, terrible villains, and deaths in this book, and Phira gets a scary new power that comes into play at times. Add in the possibility of romance, and this book was one I enjoyed immensely. Highly recommended to adult urban fantasy/paranormal romance readers 16 plus, although this was light on the romance this time around.

What can I say about this book that is not already expected to be said?
First of all it's amazing... In this book we get to know Phira in a deeper level and we learn to meet Nyx (her other half) a lot more and she's a bad ass! Phira has a big heart just like her mom and that balances her soldier, dark, cold side.

What's an amber book without plot twist? Heart wrenching twists for that matter... buckle up if you're an endless romantic... definitely toyed with my heart. TS is my favorite character, he gives but only enough to keep the reader interested and in expectation of more. I really hope there is something more than a guardian love between them. TS is Phira's safe haven and he keeps her grounded but it's like she hasn't even noticed with everything going on. If they end up together I will worship Amber for the rest of my life lol! Maybe it's wishful thinking but that's what I would like.

The cameos in this book are amazing btw. And the new members we get to know from the PC are heart melting too! Now let's not forget Muses... I have a love hate relationship with him. I can't wait to see more of him in book 3.

I can't give this book less than 5 stars and I totally recommend it to anyone that is a fan of urban fantasy!! This series is a must have!!

Oh no!
I did love the book, but my heart breaks for Gabe.
I just keep thinking about how adorable he was in the first book, and now he's broken!
The story was fine, the characters are great.
But just like the Caged series, all the characters are male and everyone loves Sapphira.
I was hoping for a different story than what we already had with Caged.
So far it seems to be rehashing the same formula with almost identical characters.
I am team TS BTW
But my fave character is Muses.

She chose...poorly

Characters making illogical plot choices right and left. Blindly not seeing what is right in front of them. Adios Natush.

Rereading these books after actually reading the Caged series just helps them make so much more sense. It can be a stand alone but knowing about these additional characters that show their faces definitely helps!

Phira has started to come into her powers more fully and Gabe is trying to learn about his. Without something for his powers to focus on he is becoming slightly unhinged and all Phira wants is to make sure he is okay in the end. She feels 100% responsible for him so it kills her to see him that way.

But as a member of the PC she can’t focus solely on him and I think that’s where a big problem lies. She’s used to taking care of herself and others taking care of themselves. She’s been babysat but now roles are reversed for her and she handles it a little rough in my opinion.

She is trying to find her place in a world where no one is just waiting for her to level a town again. She is trying to be more grown up about it but she is still young and has tons to learn.

Her main focus is trying to find missing girls and when she does, she now has to focus on keeping them safe and alive. Having to do it in a strip club takes a toll on her mentally but she’s willing to do what she needs to to make sure nothing happens to them.

Her focus is on one thing that she doesn’t see what’s going on around her and that’s where all the intrigue lies!

I definitely see more tension with her and TS after having read up to book 3 and then rereading and I’m still rooting for them!

Definitely a series I’ll keep coming back to!

This is the second instalment in the Blue-eyed Bomb series. Kill Switch starts from where the first book, Live Wire finished. I would highly recommend reading Live Wire first in order to get the most out of this book.

I loved getting to know Sapphira (Phira) better throughout this book. She has gained control over her most powerful gift, but new powers appear and keep her off balance. Add to that a huge case that she becomes directly involved in, plus some old and new PC uncles, and you have a riveting story.

I fell a lot more in love with TC (and I didn't think that would be possible), and really enjoyed the character development throughput the book. The story line kept me engaged, but it is the characters who will keep me engrossed in this series.

I am loving this series! This book has everything: action, mystery, humor, and so much heart. I love watching Phira find herself while building these complex and compelling relationships with all the alpha males in her life. My favorite of which, without a doubt, is TS. That guy manages to hit me in the feels without a saying a word so when he does speak? Good lord. I can't even. I can't wait to see what happens next!

Favorite Quote:
“I don't need you to look out for me anymore,” I said softly. Though there was truth to my words, they hurt my chest to speak them. Something about being abandoned by TS didn't sit well with me. “No statement has ever been more simultaneously true and false.”

"Kill Switch" will keep you turning the pages....
The 2nd book in the Blue-eyed Bomb series gives the reader a more in depth look at Sapphira and her coming to terms/control with her "other half" we will come to know as Nyx.....Phira is so like her mother Ruby...
In "Kill Switch" Sapphira and the PC are trying to discover why supernatural girls are going missing and who's responsible. Ms. Natusch has packed this book with plenty of action, introduced new characters and given the reader much to wonder what's next for the "Blue-eyed Bomb."

Even though I’m loving the series and the story etc I was a little gutted about how book 2 turned out with the lack of gabe and what had built up between him and sapphira. Book 1 was written beautifully and couldn’t help fall inlove with sapphira and gabe.
But book 2 it felt like a whole different story but this is mostly me and how I felt.
I’m not even sure how this is gonna go as TS seems to replaced gabe within book 2 and it’s got me thinking is their more to these 2?

I rarely give books 5 stars but with ALN I'm never stingy. ;)

OMG!!! I've waited for this second installment like forever. LOL! And ALN did not disappoint!!! This second book explained more about Sapphira's past, which I love. It definitely helped me understand more of who she is and what she had been through. Of course, she's as badass as she was in the first book. But this book explained more how her innocence was shattered and how she overcome it.

Of course there are new characters that I learn to love, more uncles. LOL! I did kind of feel sad about some characters and the outcome of the situation. But Muses is definitely another interesting character, there are times that I kinda like him but most of the time I just love to hate him. TS is definitely another character that I have learned to love even more and I love how she cared for Sapphira.

The plot twist is so amazing. Even if you thought you guessed who was behind it all. You would never guess the ending. Definitely a must-read and a roller coaster ride. It's another masterpiece from my favorite author. And definitely worth all the wait. I can't wait for the 3rd book.

You can never get enough

Another book has come to an end and yet you can never get enough books written by Ms. Natusch. Her stories are original, action packed, and something you can sink your teeth into and enjoy every second of her books. She is one author I'll just get without even bothering to read what the book is about and I recommend her books to friends and anyone who needs a good author to read.

Pretty good

The series named Blue-eyed bomb truly fits the name. But I not sure I like her character. She acts to much like a teenager with not much common sense. I might read the next book. Don't know yet just to she if she has matured any yet. Why I say teenager is because she reacts first without thinking about anyone but herself.

Great read!

I really loved it. I love urban fantasy with strong heroines with issues. This one has a lot of issues but her character growth is worth going through the growing pains. She's evolving but she still makes mistakes. The mistakes make the story interesting without making you mad. I would most definitely recommend it.

Good

I didn’t like this book as much as I like the first. My biggest pet peeve was why couldn’t she talk into her head to talk to Nyx instead of out loud.. really y’all share the same body and she knows what your thinking... just reply silently. Another was how bad she was at context clues.. I had the bad guy pegged almost right when she met him...

I did not see that coming! Loved this book!!

Okay...Sapphira and Nix are really coming into their power now....and WOW....just wow. Getting to know more of the PC group and a glimpse of their power is an abso-lute-ly perfect addition to this story. I did not see the Gabe twist coming....but am sooo looking forward to seeing how it plays out. MUST.HAVE.MORE.NOW.

Awesome Read As Always

I just love this book series it has such wonderful character development and it really holds my interest. After reading the First 9 books in the series Caged, I was so happy the author continued the story line by leading off into the family, can’t wait for the next book!

I enjoyed the building of the characters. However, Saphirra was very slow on the uptake. I can't picture TS very well, but hoping book 3 will answer my questions.

It was a bit slower to go than the first one of the series. The plot twist at the end was so unexpected, but by far the best.

I am a huge fan of Amber's writing. Have been for quite a while! So I was super excited for this second book in the Blue-Eyed Bomb series. I love that I already feel connected to these characters because they are related (quite literally) to characters from her Caged series.

The opening of this book is intense! Phira, that poor girl, can't quite seem to catch a break! First she is on lock down, now she is free but learning to control her inner "Death" and new powers, deal with her intense family and figure out what the deal is with her sort-of boyfriend. And she does it all full steam ahead, nothing delicate about it! That's what I really love about Phira. She's a jump in first, think about it later sort of girl. The relationships she develops in this second book are perfect. From Gabe (hello, level 5 clinger!) to Muses (love to hate him!) to TS (YES GIRL! YES!). And here's the other thing. She is SUCH a perfect balance of her mom and dad (read Caged. You'll know who I'm talking about!) Ooooooooo, and watch out for that big plot twist. The ex is coming back so to speak! It's a GOOD one and I was floored!

Altogether I loved this book. I loved the characters and their continued development, I loved the relationships and cameos, the good guys and yes even the bad guys. Can't wait for the next one Amber!

Kill Switch, the second book in the Blue Eye Bomb Series, takes place shortly after Live Wire ends. Sapphira (Phira) is starting to find her place with her brother and rest of her uncles in the PC located in Chicago. While working on case, Phira finds she has a new gift that she wasn’t aware of: reliving the last few minutes of a victim’s life. Phira must go undercover to save missing supernatural girls. This puts strain on her relationship with Gabe and TS. Her brothers are not too fond of the location of the undercover either. To make matters worse, the other person inside Phira, is making herself more vocal and harder to control.
Kill Switch keeps you glued to the pages as you read. The book is filled with suspense and twists and turns. I finished it in a 6-hour reading marathon because I couldn’t put it down. I did take a must needed dark chocolate break because the FEELS! The ending left me in tears with a chunk of my heart breaking and a much-needed glass of wine and more dark chocolate.
I need book 3 now! I’ll stock up on dark chocolate and red wine.

This book is part of the Caged World. You DO NOT have to read Caged to understand this book. This series stands on its own. If you liked or loved Live Wire like I did, check out the check out the completed Caged Series or Unborn Series.

Everyone knows that The Caged Series is probably in my top 5 favorite series of all time. So it's hard to top in my mind. Rarely does an author deliver another series that I fall in love with, but book 2 has me sold that this is going to be a series that I have book hanger over after book hanger over with.

All I can say is wow, the characters are amazing, the twists and turns are phenomenal. I am loving Sapphira & TS in this series.

In book 1, Phira didn't know who she was so we saw a different side of her, but that side made her a little softer and helped her realize who she was truly, a little of what she could do and we saw her fall in love. This book picks up not far from the ending of book 1 into a new PC case where she gets to show them she can do this job and that they can count on her. There are others who will most likely be vying for her heart in upcoming books and I can't wait to see that all play out.

Not only was this book very suspenseful and you had no idea where it was going and who was responsible, it left me wanting more, namely book 3 (like now) to see what happens to everyone.

This is a must read for me, start with book 1 in this series and read on.

I love this series so far. Because the Caged series with Ruby and Sean ended, I get more of the PC and occasionally Sean. Still waiting on Ruby to show herself but I figure that will happen one of these days. I love the paranormal aspect of these stories as well. I love that Phira has an inner dark being that helps her and that she talks to. It makes for some hilarious dialogue at times. It also seems to help Phira with some dilemmas she's facing and acts almost like an inner Jiminy Cricket. Or, is it going to get her in trouble? I guess only time will tell.

The book is fairly fast paced and has lots of action, drama, comedy, etc. It was a fast read for me because I was glued to the pages and had to find out what was happening next. I would have given this book 5 stars but I had to knock a star off because the author used the phrase "with that" in the book 21 times. I abhor the phrase because usually once it's used it is overused. The phrase does not need to be used to convey a sense of drama. So, while I love Amber Lynn Natusch's writing and books, that aspect made me have to not give it 5 stars.

Absolutely loved it!

Amber didn't disappoint with this book. Love the characters new and old. It was awesome to get a slightly better understanding of Muses, though anyone whose read the Caged series would agree no one will ever fully understand him. Can't wait for book 3!
