Job Description

GEICO, a wholly owned subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated,  self-starter with excellent computer skills, analytical skills and the confidence to make independent decisions to join the GEICO Flight Department as a Pilot – Captain. This position is located at Dulles Airport, in Dulles VA.

Duties for the Pilot- Captain position will include the following:

  • Complete aircraft specific training on company aircraft
  • Perform Pilot in Command duties on company aircraft on company assigned trips for domestic flights
  • Safely conduct all assigned company flights with Customer Service attitude and foundation

Collateral duties will be assigned in the Flight Department include:

  • Data Entry
  • Safety Training
  • Operational Reports
  • Corporate Integration and Promotion
  • Expected flight hours per year: 400-450

 Requirements:

  • Airline Transport Pilot License
  • 5000 flight hours total
  • 3000 hours PIC Turbine
  • First Class Medical
  • Learjet 45 Type preferred
  • BS Degree preferred
  • Excellent safety record
  • FAR Part 91/135 Flight Department experience preferred
  • 80% travel
