LH lab being a serial lier.

After publicly saying that they won't use Campfire's design as their deal fell through, they actually copied and marketed the exactly product in China:

https://passport.weibo.com/visitor/...p-sso_sdk_client-0.6.28&_rand=1528073613.7894

The Campfire IEM and the LH Stella IEM are completely different products. The IEM you're linking to has been in development since 2016 and is an LH design, not a Campfire design. The Campfire IEM was a collaboration, meant to introduce the market to the idea of LH IEMs. Stella is a different design, made by Light Harmonic.

If you have proof that the designs are the same IP (instead of just confused speculation), please post exact information.

Makes sense.

Is it going to be available in the US? You know, many fans desire LH labs' IEM design, like Verb (which is known to NOT be a copy of a $19 Chinese product).

Yes, it will be available in the US, and this is not an LH Labs product. It is a Light Harmonic product, which is the flagship division, responsible for the Da Vinci DAC, Tesla amps and speakers, etc. The LH Labs is a crowd-funded division.

Multiple reviews have been posted from Asia and all are very positive (as evidenced by hola's post). I am sure at some point someone will create an official thread for this product. (it won't be Light Harmonic since we do not advertise or sponsor on Head-Fi)

If anyone is interested in reading the reviews, I can post the links. Otherwise, we can leave this a Geek Wave thread.

I see. Different companies.

Light Harmonic have the resources to spend two years on this project, and successfully develop, from scratch, a hybrid IEM that is sold at USD1,400, with their previous offerings being cheapo Verb, Verbatim, and IEM-X (none copied).

Glad that they do not just hire one technical guy, and didn't run into battery / screen / software issues.

First review of the Source is up, though it's a model none of us even knew about. The Source Pro, the retail model was reviewed
http://v2.stereotimes.com/post/light-harmonics-source-pro/

It's better if I don't comment at all.... I will say I loved the quote "I am reliably informed LH Labs is bending over backwards to deliver the Geek Source to its backers as promised, also Light Harmonic as a separated company is continuing contribute more monetary resource to make the delivery process faster."
I never laughed and cursed so hard at the same time before.

In other words, rather than outrage, backers should actually thank Light Harmonic for their generosity.

As a backer it would be nice to own one...if only in my dreams SMH. :triportsad:

Stuck Limo,

Is Light Harmonic / LH Labs revising their websites to sell products again? EX. GO2A, GO2Pro, Cables. If purchased, are these products shipping? What is available for purchase?

I think Jarek is hired by LH Labs, not Light Harmonic (or is it the other way round?) so he would not know.

P.S. Someone might need to change the name of this thread? It says Light Harmonic Geek Wave , which, as we all know now, is totally incorrect as Light Harmonic is a different entity altogether.

So Stella resemblance to Asteria (and CA Vega and Lyra II FWIW) is totally a coincidence?

And we've already heard this from Ken Ball, which does not inspire confidence:

"Hey All,

Just to be very clear regarding LH Labs "Asteria"

I was recently told by my Japanese distributor that LH Labs was still showing this IEM at the Tokyo e-earphone show in Japan as recently as this month (December 2017) We are sad and disappointed to hear Larry Ho is continuing to show a prototype product that exclusively contains our IP and shell design. We did not authorize him to show or use this prototype product. He was suppose to return the one concept model we provided, that he now has apparently been promoting as his own.

We have nothing to do with the LH Labs earphone project and have no affiliation, communication, agreement or coordination with Mr. Ho. If LH Labs releases a IEM it will not be from Campfire Audio and we hope it will not contain any elements of Campfire Audio IP. Especially elements of design or IP from the earphone prototype that was provided that has not yet been returned.

We very much hope that LH Labs does not show this IEM again as it was never authorized to be shown or be used for the profit or benefit of LH Labs.

We are very sad to see this develop in the direction that it apparently has.

Ken"

The website is undergoing cleaning and reconstruction. The 2A line and Go2Pro are essentially discontinued at this point. The "marketplace-lhlabs" domain will go away, and we'll switch it over to Light Harmonic (you'll notice Light Harmonic logo on the page already). Essentially the only things that are available for actually purchasing are cables and the GO 1000 (on clearance). We have some Tesla speakers too.

Essentially the only thing that will be sold on the site will be Light Harmonic branded gear, not LH Labs. The Light Harmonic gear will be more expensive so any of the "low" priced things (say...less than $300?) will be going to alternate retail channels, such as Amazon (if we have any sell to sell under that price point).

We're also going to try to get a Freshdesk for Light Harmonic, but that's still kind of being discussed and explored.

I think Jarek is hired by LH Labs, not Light Harmonic (or is it the other way round?) so he would not know.

I was hired for LH Labs specifically, but I've kind of shifted into more responsibilities at Light Harmonic (chiefly dealing with Tesla amps/speakers and the Stella IEM).
