This half-day session will provide participants tips for completing the DLM Alternate Assessment for students in grades 3-12 before releasing them to complete the online certification training in a controlled setting. The first part of the training (roughly 30 minutes) will offer suggestions for more valid and efficient assessment scoring. The rest of the time people will be able to complete the online training at their own pace, with the ability to stop and ask questions if needed. In order to best hear the instructional videos, teachers should bring headphones to the training. The online training for teachers new to alternate assessment will take approximately 4 hours. For returning teachers, the time may be considerably shorter.
Please make sure DLM rosters are current and student profiles (Personal Needs and Preferences, First Contact Survey) are entered by the September 30th deadline.
*Please bring a fullly charged laptop and headphones. The headphones will be important for you to watch videos on your own.
Please note that the certification training is required for any teacher administering the DLM assessment, but this session is optional. Teachers are also able to complete the training on their own time. Jennifer Denne will send out training information.
