The Baby Saga #1

Forever His Baby

Rate this book
Two brothers. One impossible choice

From the moment her suspicions are confirmed, Lily knows she’s screwed. What the hell is a nineteen year old with no future going to do with a baby? She can barely take care of herself. She needs help.

In walks Sloan McClain, the only man Lily has ever truly wanted — and the brother of the boy whose baby she’s carrying. While Lily expects a great number of outcomes when she tells Sloan her news, him proposing marriage and asking her to keep the baby is not one of them, especially not when she has every intention of giving the baby a better future by giving it the home she can’t.

Having spent the majority of his life protecting his brother from the bone-breaking fists of their father, Sloan is no stranger to hardship, loss and abandonment. He has learned long ago never to rely on anyone to take care of what was his, and that baby is his. He isn’t about to let Lily give away his family, nor can he allow that child to destroy the future he has built for Cole. His only option: marry the mother and claim the baby as his.

But no secret ever stays hidden forever.

So this book was heading straight on Five Star Highway for me until a few minor potholes scuffed my underskirt and rattled my radiator.

description

Pothole #1:

The author decided to get all Nicholas Sparks on us in the form of the standard sweet old lady who offers sage, perfectly timed advice and then "mysteriously" disappearance from whence she mysteriously came.

Like a drive-by.

description

Don't understand my Nicholas Sparks-old-person-with-the-sage-advice reference?

Lemme 'splain. I feel like pretty much ALL of his books have some kind of older/elderly person, either sharing their story or providing wise old person advice to the reader or another character.

Allow me to provide some photographic support...

description
The Notebook

description
Message in a Bottle

description
A Walk to Remember

description
The Longest Ride

Methinks I sense a pattern here....

Don;t get me wrong, I'm not against the old "wise older person with the perfectly timed advice" shtick by any means.

After all, fiction is based on real life, yes?

However, I prefer that it be woven into the story a bit - not just seemingly thrown in at random like a cliched, contrived plot device serving only to provide the main character a vehicle with which to come to that "A-ha" moment.

And with a complete stranger who seems to "magically" appear, no less.

At a bus stop bench.

description

Unless you are Forrest, Forrest Gump, with a fascinating story to tell against the most awesome 1960's/70's protest music soundtrack known to man?

description

Get the fuck off my bus stop.

Pothole #2:

This was a sweet - but super hot - little love story. The scenes were hot and - although seeming to take for fucking ever to happen - were worth it when they finally arrived...

...Until about 97% in...

When the author decided she needed a side of Fifty Shades of Grey to go along with her Nicholas Sparks and threw is some last minute BDSM.

description

Ummmmmm...

description

description

I mean, seriously though, I'm tired of all the BDSM that just gets thrown around all willy nilly-like these days.

And I mean, really? At 97%?

description

I wasn't expecting it, it didn't fit the story at that point, and it threw me way the fuck off.

I really enjoyed the characters - especially Sloan - and I enjoyed the writing enough to check out future books from this author; however, I'm not all that interested in Cole and Beth's story, to be honest, and I think that's where this series is headed next so...we will see if I continue.

Other than that, if you like the "oops I'm pregnant" shtick (which I do) combined with a quasi "arranged relationship" (which I DEFINITELY do) I would totally recommend reading this, even despite the above mentioned potholes.

Ok this was a little outside my boundaries being that the heroine was pregnant with the heroes brothers baby. But after accepting that it was a one time awkward encounter between two best friends ..and no real romantic feelings..that ended in a beautiful life created, I was OK. Also this author did a phenomenal job of convincing me the reader that Sloan and Lily adored, loved, cherished, and honored each other. Sloan has jumped straight to the top favorite list of book boyfriends. He was loyal, protective, possessive, bossy, sexy, trustworthy, and so amazingly KIND. He showed such tenderness and care, so much patience and respect. He had the most extraordinary heart I've ever read in a hero. To step up totally to love and protect that baby..it was beautiful. But his love for Lily was beyond the words I could use to describe. I hung on his every word and action. The climax was perfect and Cole was a hero too. I adored that this author kept the drama to just the right levels and showed all the layers of love between all the characters.
So last but really not least in no way is that this book shocked me with how freaking HOT it was. I scorched, blazed and burned the pages. I could nominate this book as totally perfect to be called Sizzling Pages. One hundred percent Perfect Alpha Male Approved.
I'll be reading all that I can from this author. If she gives me safe no other women stories ..no triangles.. no angsty jealousy plots I'll be in heaven just like I was in this beautiful journey.
Just amazing really.

My review:

This book was such a pleasant surprise!

In this story, we are introduced to Lily, who just found out she was pregnant with her best friends baby after the very first and last time she had sex. What a shock! Especially since she has been in love with his brother Sloan since she was 13 years old. Then we meet Sloan who we find out has also been in love with the heroine for just as long. He is 5 years older and even before his mother died 7 years ago, he doesn't have time for a woman, especially when he is trying to set an example for his younger brother, so he hasn't been with another woman in years. Sloan was an amazing hero who really steps up to the plate. I have to say that I was worried what was going to happen when the secret was revealed later on in the book and I have to say that I was happy with how that all came to a head.

I can't quite put my finger on it, but I felt like Cole's character was a little weird. I also don't know if he was a strong enough hero for Beth, but hopefully from his side of things he truly grovels. That is ALOT to deal with .. a new girlfriend who you aren't sure you love and now you have to tell her that best girl friend that she was worried about all along, by the way I had sex with her and she is having my baby. Just WOW LOL

This book is steamy with very low angst and drama. If you are looking for a sweet and heart warming romance, this is your book!

I’m so glad I went with the reviewers who actually have read and reviewed this rather than the reviews/comments from people who haven't read the book yet.

Because it was awesome! The way the author wove the story, making me love ALL the characters is truly remarkable. She didn’t pile on the drama-rama for the sake of it, in fact there was very little angst and drama.

Lily found herself in a predicament that lots of young adults find themselves in, only she wasn’t going to have the support of the child’s father (her choice). And I totally get why she made that choice. And even more I totally love how Sloan stepped up to the plate for her and Cole. I love how he loved her from afar for so long, his love never wavering. He truly is a swoon worthy hero, perfect in every sense without losing the realness of the character. I loved the family dynamic too, like I already said I loved all the characters so am definitely reading the rest of the books in the series.

I was discussing old-style romances with a friend the other day and this one fits into that category perfectly. What could have been an eye-rolling read with juvenile antics, ex drama and manufactured angst was anything but. Instead I got a story that hooked me from word one and left me hugging my Kindle when it was done.

4.5 stars. This would have been a 5 star read but for the weird dom/sub scene at the end that was so out of place and didn’t fit in with the rest of the story. I didn’t think it was necessary nor did it improve the book for me in any way.

'She was pregnant with her best friend's baby, a best friend she couldn't tell, because to do so would
destroy everything he had going for him. His brother, the man Lily loved with a passion that was terrifying, wanted to marry her, give the baby and her a home, and still everything inside her wanted to run.'

I really enjoyed 'Forever His Baby'. It flowed wonderfully & I didn't want to put it down. It was realistic & the simple plot was really effective. It was quaint, fluffy & sweet with a touch of drama that gave me the intended emotions.

I wished there was a little more to the end, some scenes for insight on how the family worked. I also thought it could have done without the last sex scene being a Dom/sub one, it felt unneeded & a little out of place with all the others, which were good by the way.

There was no unnecessary drama or cliché. Lily, Sloan & Cole were all really admirable & likable characters. I loved our hero Sloan, he was a hard-working selfless man with a heart of gold. Solid 4 stars for a simple yet enjoyable romance.

Maybe 3.5 stars. This book started off really well but by the end I really didn't like it all that much anymore. Went from a sweet story of a girl, unexpectedly pregnant when her best (male) friend and she decided one night to lose their virginity to each other to prepare themselves for the "real" dating world.

She's been in love with her friend's brother forever and when he finds out she's pregnant he steps up and decides to take care of her. Sweet, sweet story until the real father figures out the timing (as if he was never going to find out) and then we get a final chapter of hard core BDSM at the end. Where did that come from? Ruined the book for me.

I was apprehensive at first about this book because I thought it was going to be a love triangle, which is a major no-no for me. I was wrong. The hero, Sloane, was just that, a hero and so much more. Lily and Sloane's brother Cole had been best friends all of their lives. After making a pact that if they were at a certain age and still virgins they would sleep together to get that awkward first time out of the way. Even though they used a condom, Lily got pregnant. Lily had loved Sloane since she was 13 years old. Sloane stepped up to take care of Lily so they wouldn't have to ruin Cole's chances of making something of himself. Sloane had sacrificed so much for Cole after their mother died. Their father was an abusive alcoholic so it was just the two of them. They decided to not let Cole know the baby was his. Sloane had always loved Lily but never thought he would ever get to have her. He stepped in and took care of her during the pregnancy and they finally admitted their feelings. This was a touching story. I really felt bad for Cole when he figured out that he was the father. I loved how they all worked together and showed how much they cared for each other. I will most likely read Cole and Beth's story once I find out if he slept with someone when she was gone.

this was a safe book with no cheating or ow/om drama. They got a HEA but I would have liked a further out epilogue. Maybe there will be more in the next book.

This book was so well written! Sometimes over descriptive writing gets on my nerves, but this actually puts you with Lily and Sloan as their story is being told.

I loved Sloan, he was so sexy and so brooding when we first meet him. I didn't feel the connection with Lily and Sloan was insta love as I saw mentioned in another review. I thought it was a perfect balance of lack of communication, fear and true forbidden love of sorts.

The plot with the baby was original, it wasn't a romantic creation between a couple who split up and I loved that. I really liked Cole and Lily's relationship for what it was.

I really liked this book. I loved the way Sloan felt about Lily and the fact that he had been celibate so long. I didn't mind that Lily lost her virginity with Cole. They had been best friends their whole lives and their pact made sense to me. Also even though Lily loved Sloan she had no reason to think she would ever have him. He had treated her coldly in the past and she was shocked when she realized he had feelings for her. I loved them together and enjoyed this book. Safety gang safe

*4.25* I love surprises. I was amazed how much I loved reading this book. Sloan and Lily were very likable characters. Sloan was almost too perfect. If you like a hot, tattooed, non-asshole, sweet and caring hero, you will love this book. Lily is also feisty and very independent. How he took care of Lily gave me the heart flutters. The blurb describes what the plot is all about, but if you all are wondering if it's a love triangle . The book is about the growing relationship between Sloan and Lily, her pregnancy ... yes, those hormones ;) and just the trials of suddenly needing to be in each other's lives. It was mostly a light read, several humorous moments—once or twice I laughed out loud, and then there were parts I got teary-eyed ... Sloan is such a great brother ... enough said.

The epilogue threw me for a bit. It's not bad, just a bit out of character.

If you're up for a sweet, low angst book with likable characters and some sexy scenes, this book is a good bet.

Quick easy read that's perfect if you're looking for something with little to no angst. Nothing that crazy happens and no crazy plot twists. I found the hero quite sweet and I really enjoyed the fact that he wasn't your typical man whore. I will say that the sex was QUITE hot. That was a pleasant surprise. Not sure if I'll end up reading Cole's book because I didn't quite like him and I'm not sure how I feel about some of his decisions in this book.

This is the third Morgana Phoenix book that I've read and I've got to say: WOW. She is definitely in my top five favorite authors' list. I love the way she writes her characters. I love that she makes them real. Lily and Sloan, oh my God. In a book-world full of rich CEOs and unrealistically naive heroines, she always manages to create characters that are rich in the most important of ways; they are real people that you can connect with. Hard working, protective people like Sloan and genuine, brave girls like Lily.
The writing was flawless and the development smooth. A true pleasure to read. I couldn't put it down. If you want something genuine that will warm your heart, this is the book for you. You will want a Sloan of your own.
5 Stars from me. I would give more if I could.

I loved this one until the epilogue. I wasn't aware an epilogue could taint a book so heavily for me. Not only was the content beyond left field, but the spelling errors and typos seemed like it was added after the book was edited. Seriously the BDSM came the fuck out of no where. Such an bizarre inclusion to me. Otherwise, I really like did it. I hate that the end was such a buzzkill for me.

I picked up Forever His Baby on a whim not really knowing what I was getting into. I literally read this book in a few hours not wanting to put it down.

We meet Lily right away and she has just learned that she is pregnant. The problem is that she is pregnant and her best friend Cole is the father. As a pact, the two promised to give away their virginities to each other so that when Cole went away to college he wouldn’t be a virgin. Lily also just wanted to get the whole thing over with. Both Cole and Lily have no actual feelings for each other. Ironically, Lily has been in love with Sloan, Cole’s brother for many years. Unbeknownst to Lily, Sloan also had feelings for her for many years.

When faced with Lily’s dilemma of telling Cole, Sloan, being the selfless person that he is offers to help raise Lily’s child as his own. Sloan doesn’t want his brother to give up what he has worked so hard for. Sloan gave up most of his childhood to raise Cole after their mother passed away. He was also the one who took the brunt of the beatings that their drunken father would give him.

After much wooing, Lily finally agrees to Sloan’s help. This was my favorite part of the book. It was obvious that Sloan would do anything for Lily and her child, his love for them was beyond obvious. Of course, there are things that get in the way of their happy ever after.

This book was such a sweet read for me. Between the small-town gossip that surrounded the story, to the beautiful love story between Sloan and Lily, and well Sloan in general, I was hooked. I rarely finish a book these days within a few hours so to say I enjoyed this book immensely is an understatement. Forever His Baby also had just the right amount of steam mixed into this book with such heart.

I have to start out with saying this is by far my fave book by this author. Forever His Baby was phenomenal!!! I have to admit I was a little bit scared when I read Lily was caught between two brothers but Morgana really did good. My favorite character would have to be Sloan he's so smexy!! Of course then you have his younger brother Cole who I cant wait to read more about. I really loved how the characters connected, the easy banter between them it felt so real. This is one book you do not want to miss, there is so much drama, very fast pace and guaranteed to leave you with a book high!!!

Once again i found myself laughing out loud or smiling like a lunatic ..I couldn't stop myself!SOme parts of this book were hilarious ,but the story was crazy.I admit that at the beginning i hated Lily a little(pretty please don't ask why!mainly,it was because of Cole and that's all i'm gonna say.),but step by step my opinion changed.
I started to like her-she was funny and demanding, that's what made me laugh out loud.
And SLoan? You could just say that he was exactly where he was needed. Also,he was my favorite.

And..You have to read this book if you want to know moooore!

It was a pretty good story except the epilogue. I thought part of it was kind of out of character with the rest of book and made it end with kind of a bad taste to me. I dropped it point because of it.

This was a sweet borderline forbidden romance.Lily finds herself in a creek without a paddle when she learns that she's pregnant after losing her virginity to her best friend Cole.Enter oh s*it moment.Left with no choice, she goes to find his brother Sloan whom she's been secretly in love with since she was 13 to ask for help in contacting Cole( he went off to college)

Let's talk about Sloan for a minute.Although this story is told from the third person POV( which is not really my cup of tea), the author nailed the description & the emotional turmoil of Sloan. He too has been secretly in love with Lily & instead of admitting those feelings, he intentionally ignores her & acts like she's been nothing but a nuisance.

Lily confesses that she's pregnant & Sloan surprisingly agrees to take her to see Cole & tell him everything. Only when she gets there, Cole is fitting in nicely at College, has a girlfriend & is the happiest he's ever been. They both decide to not ruin his happiness & a chance at having a successful career by not saying anything.

Uh WTF? The boy can do math.I'm shaking my head the whole time because I know this is gonna end badly. I know it!!

Sloan offers to help raise the baby as his own & make Lily his wife so she does what anyone would do in that situation. SHE.SAID.NO!! Yes you read that correctly. This is NOT a drill people! The girl said NO.
Enter another WTF moment

After a lot of convincing by her parents, & an uh oh moment where they both confess their feelings, they are finally together.

THANK GAWD!

What could possibly go wrong now?
Cole learned to do freaking Math that's what.Didn't I say that?!! Well he did & he was NOT happy( he got over it)
After that, everything worked itself & we got a HEA.

Sweet story :)

Enjoyed this read, but I agree with other readers about the epilogue--the sex scene was straight out of left field. Where did that come from? It felt like a brand new character was introduced right at the end, especially since there was no hint of it previously. Other than that, I would recommend the book to romance fans. Sloan and Lily were great.

Considering the circumstances this book revolves around, I expected it to be a heavy, emotional read. I was pleasantly surprised that it was not. Yes, it was emotional but it wasn't overwhelming or overly done. The main subject of this story was love in all its forms and I loved that. Highly recommend.

It was an ok level book.

I just had trouble with the pregnant from one brother and in love with the other. I guess maybe I struggled to how the situation came about and how it was handled. The ending was good a little strange at one point. I really wasn’t sure how they were going to handle the “who’s the child’s father dilemma” but I guess they handled it as best they could.

I really don’t feel there is much else to say... it was good but I didn’t care enough about the characters to read the next in the series.

Lily Price just received devastating news. After losing her virginity together with her best friend Close, the 19-year-old girl is now pregnant with his baby. However, her best friend who she has no feelings whatsoever for, is 6 hours away at university. Now, her only way to reach him is to ask Cole’s brother Sloan McClain for help, even if Sloan hates her and she’s got the biggest crush on him ever since she turned 13.

The moment Lily tells Sloan her secret, they both agree that Cole should never know so as to guarantee him a bright future, which he couldn’t have if asked to play dad. However, what Lily doesn’t expect, is Sloan urging her to keep the baby and asking her to marry him. Even if she loved him for years, she won’t let herself have this when Sloan is asking her out of obligation. Or is he?

+ Lovely characters
+ Romantic read that causes butterflies
+ Story oozes underlying sexual tension and steamy scenes are great

- Epilogue leaves open-ended questions as to what arrangements have been made to solve the actual problem at hand

In summary, I really, really enjoyed this book and had it finished in no time. It’s just of of those romantic reads that gives you a constant warm feeling. It sucks you in from the start because you just want to know what the heck is wrong with Sloan, and darn it, why would Lily sleep with her best friend when she doesn’t even have feelings for him? Well and even if it soon becomes pretty obvious why Sloan kept his distance from Lily all the time, I still loved reading on and was dying to finally get to the moment when they both realize what’s going on between the two of them.

I simply loved all characters, but none of them were as charismatic as Sloan, who is the perfect alpha book boyfriend. The kind of guy who would do everything for his family and loved ones. He was such a strong character and often clashed with other characters like Cole (who seemed a bit too weird and oblivious to me) and even Lily, who was cute but just didn’t have such a strong character.

Aside from the characters, the writing here was really great, and a very well executed 3rd person writing with alternating POVs in the likes of R.L. Mathewson. It was the perfect way to catch a glimpse of both MC’s thoughts and make the story even more intense. I loved the anticipation that built between them and after the 50% mark, I was rewarded with some mindblowing sexy times between the two. Steamy scenes rarely felt as intense as they do in Forever his Baby, so kudos to the author!

In the end, I was a bit disappointed. Not so much by the storyline, because I kind of expected that the secret got revealed, but rather by the actual end of things and the ending of the book itself. In the end, no real solution to the problem was found, and the decisions that were made (albeit no easy decisions) turned out to make everyone’s lives a lot easier. The epilogue gives us a glimpse into the MCs future, but there are no real pointers as to what arrangements exactly were made. I just felt that the closure I needed to this story wasn’t there, which is unfortunate.

But I still liked the book and would highly recommend it. Just keep in mind that you might not necessarily get all the answers to your questions in the end.

Where do I start with this book. I instantly fell in love with these characters. It's funny but I completely understood the workings of a small town and of course theres always a town gossip around. The one in this book though was a total witch with a Capitol B. She seemed to thrive off of others pain and I instantly did not like her..
What I did love was the relationship of Cole, Lily, and Sloan. Most people think that boys and girls can't be friends without the benefits but in this case it's mostly true except for one awkward night they prefer to forget.

Cole wanted more in life than Willow Creek. He's a great guy with a big heart. He always puts family first and works super hard at everything. Now that Cole left the small town for college Lily is missing him big time. After 19 years together it's no wonder. Lily just found out some life altering news and she runs to the only other person in town she thinks might be able to help her. Sloan, Cole's brother. She's taking a huge chance with him but he's all she's got. After telling Sloan her secret Lily and Sloan agree to keep it to themselves only to find themselves telling lie after lie but falling for each other in the process.

Ok so together they are that toothache kind of sweet when you eat candy. It's that awe, tilt your head to the side with a huge smile on your face kind of sweet. They are actually really cute together and I love how Sloan worships her.. Lily is taken care of by Sloan more than she thought she ever deserved but I think she loved every second of it.

Sloan, oh boy.. He's every girls fantasy. He knows how to fix things, he has his own company, and he's beautiful to look at. Who cares that he was a grumpy jerk at first. Sloan is totally swoon worthy and I adored him.
Lily, now she's a stubborn mule. She knows what she wants but thinks she's not worthy of anything great. She's given up so much of herself for others. Sloan and Lily have that and much more in common.. I really liked her sense of humor too. At some thing I love the most of Morgana Phoenix books. I always look forward to the humor in them.

All in all I truly loved this story. Everything was so well written and put together. I especially like how things all fit at the end. I Was totally wondering how things were going to work out and was pleasantly surprised. I was a little shocked at the sexy part at the end the most though. ThAt was a Wow Moment for me. You be the judge though..

Love these and I wish there was more of Cole, Lily, and Sloan.

I received this book to give an honest review.
It will not be out until December 24 of this year so get ready to get your hands on this book.
This author I know I may have said it before but she has a way to draw you into the story and keep you there. We have three people who have known each other their whole life, and their lives become entwined in more than just friendship. Lily is your normal girl she is so happy, loves life and loves her best friend Cole but madly in love with his brother Sloan and now she is pregnant.
Cole is your average guy. He is a sweetheart, loves his best friend Lily, his older brother has taken care of him since their mother passed away. He is now making something of himself instead of staying in the small town he grew up in.
Sloan! What can you say about a guy who has this name? It is just dripping with badness! Sloan has had a hard life. His father was a drunk and liked to try to take it out on his kids but Sloan always made sure it was him and not Cole. Cole was his little brother and it was up to Sloan to make sure he got the hell out of the town and left this life behind.
All of that changes with the news that Lily is pregnant. The town likes to gossip and to keep Cole out of the cross hairs Sloan makes the most heart wrenching decision any man can make. He decides to raise this baby as his own even though he knows it is his brothers child. We get drama, love, a whole lot of sex, and like the blurb says no secret can stay hidden forever.

I fell in love with Sloan! He was the bad boy turned good and it was all because of Lily.
The ending made my heart go awwww! How sweet. I have to leave this review here because if not I will be giving so much away and I don't want to do that. My advice if you love the love stories, bad boys turning good and so much more that makes a great story get your copy.

I really enjoyed reading this book. I loved the characters, all of them.

Lily has a big problem, she's pregnant and it's her best friends baby. They love each other, but aren't in love and both knew that there one night together, was nothing more than them loosing their virginity. They both wanted to loose it to someone that they really cared about, so they wouldn't regret it. Only, they should have checked the expiration date on the condoms. She has a lot of decisions to make. Some are taken out of her hands because of the busy bodies, in their small town, that have to gossip about everything.

Cole is Lily's best friend since they were in diapers. He's away at college, trying to make a life for himself. She doesn't want to ruin his chance of doing better and getting out of that small town. There is nothing for him there.

As soon as Lily finds out about the baby, she goes to see Sloan, Cole's older brother, that she's been in love with since she was 13 years old. She wasn't expecting everything that followed. I like how their love isn't an insta love, but it's a love that they both have had for a very long time. They just never told each other. Sloan really stepped up to the plate. I loved how he wasn't a man whore, because he didn't want to teach that to his younger brother, that he was raising on his own. Both of these men, are really good men.

This was a quick read for me because I did enjoy it so much. The only thing that threw me a little was the sex scene in the epilogue. I felt that the change came out of nowhere. I'l happy about how Cole handled everything in the end, when he did finally calm down after finding out that the baby is his. I love what they named her, and who they named her after.

OHHHH EMMMM GEEEE!!!!!

I abso-fricken-lutely LOVEDDDDD this book!!!!!

I have read alot of good books this past year that I really enjoyed, I mean probably most of them actually. But this book right here was amnazing. The writing was impeccable. The story was amazing, kept me captivated.

Sloan was just awesome, hard working, loyal, caring, strong, determined, and sexy as hell.
Any woman would LOVE to have them a Sloan. At least I know I would, lol

Cole was just a great guy also. They both were amazing young men, who have went through so much in their short life, it just made them be even better men.

Lily was just adorable as hell. She was such a great, sweet, smart, understanding young lady. Who has one of the same passions as I do, photography. And she seemed to be great at it.

The ending was perfect. Loved it. And I hope to get more of them all in 2015.

Great job on this book. Again, I LOVED it!!!!

2.5 Star read

was an okay and sweet story, didn't love it. I liked the storyline of it but how it all played out had a little to be desired. I found how Sloan and Lily all of a sudden professed their love for each other, gave it an insta love feeling. Also didn't care for the sex scenes especially some of the description of things, took away from what little sexiness the scene had. Felt the sex scene at the end in the epilogue didn't fit with the story at all ans was there only to try to make it hotter and bascially ended up skimming that scene. Also felt that when the truth finally came out, it really fell flat for me, it truly needed more angst for a secret of that size.

Overall it was an okay quick read that passed some time. Writing needed some work, felt very basic and would I recommend it, nope don't think so.

This book started out great and I honestly stayed up in the wee hours reading it. About 3/4 of the way, the "feel" of the story sort of changed. I can't really explain it. I didn't exactly hate it but I just lost some love for the characters. Why do authors use the term of endearment " Baby Girl"?? It just creeps me out!
