⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️! Hollywood Scandal (stand-alone). Steamy impossible affair between a Hollywood heartthrob & a girl looking to blend in!

“He was too handsome. Like the man factory had made a mistake and put too much good-looking in the mixture, Some other guy had probably lost out as a result”

Hollywood Scandal (stand-alone) opens up to everyday life for jewelry designer and store owner Lana Kelly. After a stint in the big city she has sworn off men and returned home to live quietly by the coast. Hollywood heartthrob and movie star Matt Easton is on location filming his next movie. He has spent the last several years repairing his image and he is on the brink of super stardom.

The last thing Matt and Lana need is a scandal.

Their first meeting was nearly deadly, the second one electrifying and on that path, they were bound to rock each other’s worlds and steam up the bedroom. Far away from Hollywood and paparazzies their May through December affair carries on. But what will happen when Lana realizes her next-door neighbor is a famous actor?

And what will they do when scandal comes calling?

Seven words to describe Matt Easton: charming, noble, sweet, intense, reflective, considerate, and a gentleman.

Seven words to describe Lana Kelly: strong, stubborn, private, insecure, opinionated, determined and obtuse.

Hollywood Scandal, told from dual POVs, is a feel-good, fast-paced and sexy impossible romance; a collision of two worlds and a steamy off-screen affair escaping reality until the downside of fame comes calling. It ends on a high a couple of years into the future just like the best of Hollywood endings.

➦Well, what can I say about this book? I loved it, of course. I always enjoy Louise Bay's stories and I especially love her audiobooks. Now, I will be honest and say that I'm a bit sick of hearing Sebastian York at this point so I'm hoping for a change of narrators at some point lol But, nevertheless, this was a rather enjoyable and swoony romance with a "celebrity falls for a small town girl trope."

➦We've seen this done before for sure - a famous actor hides in a small town while filming a movie. Ends up being neighbors with a feisty girl who has not a single clue about how famous he is. She loves her privacy and a carefully structured life in her small town. But she's also lonely... Will she be willing to sacrifice her privacy for a chance at love?

➦These two main characters were super hot together but at the same time shared many sweet and tender moments and I just loved that. I might even go as far as to say that I loved tender moments more. Some of those scenes were so amazing that I won't forget them for a while. Overall, a great read and highly recommended if you love your celebrity and small town romances.

After I DNFed the previous book by this author, I had my doubts picking up this one.
Overall I enjoyed it.

Very likable heroine. Strong in her own way, funny, independent and she had a good poker face. I love to read about women, who don’t melt into a puddle at men’s feet. This one wasn’t immune to his charm, but, as I said, she had a good poker face.

I didn’t find it unrealistic, that she didn’t know who he was. I’m not crazy about celebrities myself, so I can relate.

As not a real fan of Hollywood BS I won’t dwell on some issues like he had a fake gf, like his agent and publicist “ruled” his life and so on.

I wish I didn’t have to read about his 2 friends with benefits, whom he did while being in fake relationship. I get, that men have needs, but it somehow cheapened his character. Especially when he thought about his non commitment arrangement with the heroine and a tiny possibility to meet his “friend” to have some fun.

The book was safe – no sex-scenes with OWs, no one after MCs met. But his thoughts and a couple of flashbacks made him definitely less attractive in my eyes.

2 very unusual and positive (IMO) things
- There was no details about the size of his d*ck and, FORTUNATELY, no lines like: oh, you are so big… will it fit? -> the reason I DNFed previous book
- He called her Grecian goddess! I couldn’t belive my eyes! After reading about Greek Gods in every 2nd book, it was refreshing pleasant to read about a woman on the receiving end of this complement

The book had depth. They didn’t only acted around her V and his D.
I liked how he cared and spoke about his family.
I liked that she was independent and had her business.
I got why she didn’t want to be famous and avoided scrutiny.
I didn’t like that the “incident”, that happened to her in the college, wasn’t handled on the spot. Her ex-bf spread her naked photos. Why didn’t they castrate the f*cker? These photos caused the major drama at the end.

The ending and the epilogue were satisfying.
But Golden Globe, really?

I’m very picky and I always support female characterS in the books. I literally hate, when they trash OWs in order to push the heroine. Like she is soooo perfect and all other girls are soooo shallow. Uhg!

This male protagonist lost me around 60% within 1 chapter with these two lines:

“I won’t have you in the car like some disposable model, actress or whatever,…”

Are models or/and actresses disposable?! *argh*
I wish a model would read this line…

“I hated it when women tried to take over in the bedroom.”

Oh, boy… 😱

P.S.
… disposable model… disposable model… disposable model…

My face when a Louise Bay ARC hits my kindle:

For the record, I had the same expression when I finished the last page of this book.

“The man a million women wanted only wanted me.”

Matt is #Bae! Man oh man, I enjoyed this book. It’s sexy, sweet, and romantic. The chemistry between Matt and Lana is explosive!

Here's the breakdown on Hollywood Scandal: Short and sweet – A small town girl meets a mega movie star. Witty banter, explosive chemistry, and attempts at remaining incognito follow.

What I loved: The relationship development between Matt and Lana. Their initial meeting was so funny. Lana is so spunky. I still laugh about their banter at the beginning of the book. I liked both main characters. They weren’t perfect, but fit well together. My top fave about the characters was the way Matt sees Lana. He falls hard. She becomes all he sees and cares about. Totally loved how much he wanted and needed her. My heart melted.

I adore Louise Bay’s writing style! I can't put my finger on it exactly, but her writing just does it for me. She knows how to perfectly balance the steam factor and the emotional tug I need. She's quickly become an auto one-click author for me. I also get a kick out of authors adding references to their previous works. It’s like finding those little eggs in movies you love. I loved the homage to my main man – The King of Wall Street! However, I’m thankful Matt didn’t chose to “wear slick suits” to work every day.

The treatment of the plot. Let’s face it, we’ve all seen this trope before, mega movie star falls for the girl next door. The difference here are the original aspects of the story that freshened up the trope. The interesting town, funny little stories, and psychic premonition. I was in stitches. I enjoyed the small town feel and worried about Lana’s past. Those factors were new and interesting. Having those little nuances made this super enjoyable.

So, this is another win! I highly recommend it.

4.5 'Thunder shelter' Stars!

Louise Bay just delivered another sexy love story! Now leaving the New York theme she gave us the past few books she released, now she makes us fall in love with a Hollywood A-lister. And I can assure you that Matt Easton will make you swoon and melt like he did with the heroine of the story.

Hollywood Scandal is Louise’s newest standalone novel and this time we see a Hollywood rising star and literally the girl next door falling in love. Matt is filming a new movie in Maine and he is impressed by the woman who shouts (very passionately) at him while on a thunderstorm. Sparks start flying everywhere between them and their scandal starts!

I wanted to keep her attention, to share stuff with her in the hope she’d see a person I didn’t show many people. I wanted her to see the man beneath the star. I wanted her to know the real me.

I love this woman’s novels! They are so sexy and full of great characters and scenes. Lana and Matt are just fantastic together! Even though it’s not easy for them (especially for Lana) to be dating, their chemistry and the love that starts growing between them makes everything possible (and beautiful). And THAT ENDING.. Gah, I absolutely adored it!

Jesus Christ, I wanted this to last forever. I wanted us to do this again and again. I wanted time to stand still.

I’d finally found my place in the world. Nothing else mattered. Not Hollywood, not scandals and not movies.
As long as it was the two of us, I had everything I could ever want.

Therefore, I am rating Hollywood Scandal with 4.5 STARS because Louise Bay developed this new theme amazingly and she gave us another couple to fall for. I can’t wait to see what is next! Check this book out if you want to swoon over this hot Hollywood A-lister!

I found this book enjoyable and I liked getting to know Matt and Lana. They had amazing dialogue that drew me into their characters' connection. From the beginning Lana had my attention with her spirited personality and I felt like she was the perfect person for Matt. He had gotten a little jaded from his years in Hollywood and Lana was the best person to help pull him out of the famed life and into the real one.

Bottom line, the book had a bit of everything with it's smexiness, emotional scenes, and of course the romantic ones where both of these character could get very sweet.

3.5 Perception VS Truth Stars
* * *1/2 Spoiler Free

Louise Bay knows exactly how to set up a story. She will have all the elements...
A very handsome, sexy man who finds himself drawn to a woman who has no interest in him. The woman has no clue of the allure this man has on others... she is like that lone person on the face of the earth who doesn't recognize this huge movie star when he is in front of her face.

Bay will then have them meet under circumstances which will catch them both off guard. An impression is made and we, her devoted readers, will be ready to see when they meet again.

Now in this book, our movie star is a man on a mission. About 2 years ago, when he was on his quick rise to fame, he abused his good fortune. He partied hard, played very hard with interchangeable women and drank too much. He wasn't taking care of himself and at one point he even showed up on the set drunk.

Well, it took having his dad drop by on the set while he was acting out and drunk to turn his head around. Now he hasn't been drinking or screwing around. He has been keeping his nose clean and he even has been keeping his pants on. You see, he and his publicity fella put their heads together and figured out his image needed a makeover. He was partnered up with a lovely film star who was really going to marry her grade school boyfriend.

They were perfect together. Truly believable.
It was hilarious; everyone thought they were engaged and that was just what he needed. His fake girlfriend was perfect for him and his career.

Until he met Lana Kelly.

This is a woman who has decided her life is to be in her small home town. She tried living in the big bad city of New York... what did that get her...heartache and pain. She lost her dream of being a world class jewelry designer and will never ever put herself in a position to feel the devastation and loss of trust again...

Nope, living in her tiny town on the coast of Maine suits her just fine. She has her own jewelry store, makes affordable products, has a website that reaches the rest of the country and shares ownership with her best friend of a beach cottage they rent out for the tourist trade that is next door to where she lives.

Lana was going about her business when she sees a disaster about to happen. You see, in Maine, weather can flip on a dime... and this can cause tourists who don't know any better to put themselves in danger. Like the guy who has run to the bandstand in the park to get out of the thunderstorm...

Only no, not too bright because it has a metal roof... meaning Lightening magnet...so Lana is yelling and waving at this guy to get out of there before he is struck by lightening. But this guy thinks she is a crazed fan trying to get his attention like all the others he has had to deal with in the past.... so he just waves back at her...

This causes Lana to risk her own safety by going to the bandstand to tell this idiot to get out now...movie star Matt Easton is stunned and it isn't from lightening...

Lana has captured his imagination... here is this firecracker, yelling at him... letting him know how reckless he has been and she hasn't a clue as to who he is...

This tickles him... and he knows he will not forget her...he also knows he has no business remembering her or thinking about her either...and when it turns out she is his neighbor... he really knows he has zero business thinking about all the ways she is everything he wants....

This story takes the concept of a famous person appreciating how someone who hasn't a clue as to who he is...being with him with no hidden agenda...it is something very rare for him and it clouds his judgement at first. He falls fast and hard for Lana and both of them have a rocky road ahead.

The story was a little more than just this set up. Lana had serious fears of not wanting to be in any limelight. She had been publicly betrayed and the ramifications of what she experienced changed her whole concept of what her life could be. When this was addressed in the book, it added another layer of our world's reality.

There were real fun sexy moments mixed with some moments which caused a bit of frustration in the characters' actions...but that is part of reading... the tale has to develop the way it does and we get to enjoy the ride.... and overall this was a very fun ride...After All, It is Louise Bay... and She Always Delivers.

That can intrigue a man to pursue a woman he really shouldn't...

HOLLYWOOD SCANDAL is officially my absolute FAVORITE BOOK from author Louise Bay! From the time that this gem showed up on my Kindle, to the time where I had to say goodbye to these characters, I had the biggest smile on my face! Of course there were bouts of laughter and heartbreak within the story, I still felt such joy while riding along on Matt and Lana's journey to their happily ever after. This small town girl-meet-major movie star romance had EVERYTHING I could have ever wanted in a contemporary FEEL GOOD romance. This sweet and sexy romance had EXPLOSIVE chemistry, an ENTERTAINING and ENGAGING storyline, and characters that will be VERY HARD to forget.

Louise Bay has a way of bringing her romances to life, and I enjoyed EVERY SINGLE SECOND of it. I want MORE from this author. I will ALWAYS crave more from her because she just GETS IT. She knows what us romance readers need in our stories, and she delivers ten-fold. Even though we are no stranger to this trope, Ms. Bay makes it her own and still manages to captivate her audience. I recommend ANYTHING and EVERYTHING that this author brings to the table!

I'm not convinced a Hollywood Heartthrob is the right hero for me...

I was hesitant to try Hollywood Scandal, to be honest. It was a Louise Bay, who I love, so I pushed my hesitancy aside and did it anyway. I have a confession...movie stars do not do it for me. Sure, they look pretty, but at what cost? Their diets and exercise regimens would be intense. What if he expected me to maintain it too? SHUDDERS How much time would you get together considering shooting schedules and publicity commitments? I would also prefer that he not get paid to kiss other women. Nah, give me a bossy, hard working and possessive hero any day.

Well, if I'm going to settle for a Hollywood heartthrob, Matt would definitely be my first choice. He's sweet, HOT, kind, HOT, and thoughtful. He's also extremely HOT!! I loved that he fell for Lana pretty damn quickly and hated that he had to put his work commitments ahead of their budding relationship. He was determined though, and in the end, his determination definitely paid off.

Lana's history made their relationship a little rocky and I felt that she was a little too self-absorbed and selfish for most of the book.

In the end, I enjoyed this story. The characters were interesting, the steamy scenes were blush-worthy and the storyline kept my attention from start to finish.

The narrators did a fabulous job. They were easy to listen to and I never struggled when the characters changed.

I still love Louise Bay's work, but I'll hold for another King, Duke, Prince or Knight.

Release Date: August 22, 2017
Genre: Contemporary Romance
POV: Dual - 1st person
Heat: 4 out of 5
Type: Standalone

Louise Bay has this way of completely holding my mind and heart captive with every one of her stories. From her unique characters to her own twist on relatively familiar plots, every one of her books has held something new. With Hollywood Scandal, the proof was in the pudding when once again she had me falling in love immediately with her leading man, Matt. Seriously, why haven’t I met a man like Matt yet? Why can’t I happen upon a celebrity who is not only totally freaking hot, loaded, and famous, but he’s got a heart of gold??? I’m obviously living in the wrong town.

I’m sure my review will change once I’ve completely wrapped my mind around this amazingly beautiful story I’ve read. It happens. Just know that Matt and Lana shared a fiery chemistry, an explosive connection, and their love story was completely worthwhile. If you’re prepared to fall in love with love and to welcome a new BBF into your heart (I’m talking about Matt *swoon*), then you definitely need to add this book to your list!

2.5 – 3 Stars

I popped my Louise Bay cherry! I wanted to do Hollywood Scandal because Andi and Sebastian are my top female and male narrators respectfully. I’m never sad when I listen to their voices, but sometimes a good narrator doesn’t make a book.

First off, I’m not too fond of light-hearted simple chick-flick books. I read them from time to time if it has a premise I’m into. I love a good movie star theme book so I thought what the heck.

The book is in dual POV so that’s great for audio because you get both characters. The book isn’t long at all, maybe 6 hours and that’s really perfect for me for a quick audio. I usually like 10 hour audio but I’m not sure I can listen to 10 hours of light book.

The story started okay and I was fine with it. Lana and Matt had a meet-cute, she yelled at him for being an idiot and she didn’t even know he was famous. Cute right?

As the story progressed, I realized I really don’t like Lana. I love a good hero chasing after the Heroine kind of storyline, but Lana’s standoffish attitude and her need to be private was ridiculous. BEYOND ridiculous. I couldn’t understand someone that SCARED to date. It was driving me bat shit crazy and I think around hour 4 I was just overall pissed with her.

The thing that really made me angry was that, WHAT?! At that point I really didn’t see the need for Matt to be with her. PLEASE she isn’t all that.

What I did appreciate was that the sided characters were kept to a min. A lot of time authors use side characters or best friends to fill in the gaps. You know when the main characters have to talk about their feelings about the current situation. I REALLY don’t like this. It was kind of low in this book and thank goodness.

So, I’m not sure if this author is my cuppa, only because I tend to like the more serious, fucked up and kind of kinky books. Maybe when I want something light I’ll pick another Lousie Bay book, but I’m not sure I’ll do another audio. I think for these books, I just need to power through and read fast.

4.5 stars

A small town girl and Hollywood’s bad boy heart throb collide in author Louise Bay’s latest release Hollywood Scandal; sizzling chemistry, flirty banter, and two people whose lives couldn’t be more different find love when they least expect it.

As a teenager all Lana Kelly could think about was escaping her small hometown, Worthington, Maine, but an incident at college has her running home from New York and never thinking about “big city” life again. A talented jewelry designer, Lana is happy with her small shop where she sells her wares to the tourists that flock to her town, the house next door to hers that she and her best friend co-own and rent out to tourists provides additional income, and the people who have know her all her life to keep her company when she gets lonely. Losing her Dad took its toll, but she has bounced back and happy until one of her older friends warns her a storm is brewing in her life and everything is about to change because of a man. Lana chooses to ignore her “reading” never knowing that the man renting out the cottage next door is about to bring all kinds of uproar to her quiet life.

Matt Easton is thankful for the life he has especially thankful because he almost blew it. Following a successful stint in modeling, Matt has exploded into movies and success had him going off the rails. A visit from his parents and seeing their disappointment set him straight, but he had damage control to do and a team of people dedicated to making sure he sticks to the plan that will get him a franchise so he’ll be able to provide everything his family will ever need. Shooting a movie in Maine has his moving into a small town away from where the movie is shot and away from the cast and crew. He just never expects his biggest temptation to be a woman who doesn’t seem to know who he is and calls him an idiot and dumb-ass the minute they meet.

I love the intensity of their connection from the start and the fact they both intended to stay far, far away from one another. I loved the way they became friends and how easily they opened up to one another especially Matt who was fairly isolated with the exception of his team and his family. I loved that they wanted to make each other’s lives better and the easy way they fell into a relationship even if they didn’t term it that. I loved how they both encouraged one another to go after what they wanted in their respective careers and the way they supported each other unconditionally. And most of all I loved that Lana has a good friend to help her see that she was letting someone from her past keep her from pursing something that could be amazing. This wasn’t an easy story, Matt’s high profile and Lana’s issues with pictures and the press made being together a nightmare, and while they both made mistakes it was easy to see that the bond between them was stronger than the incidents trying to tear them apart.

Easy to like characters, a completely engaging plot, and simmering sexuality all made Hollywood Scandal an excellent romance.

At first Matt and Lana seemed to be the total opposite but the more I read the more I realized that they actually were the same on many levels. I must admit that Lana was hard to like at first but the more I got to see why she was the way she was, it helped me to warm up to her.

Now Matt, he was swoon worthy from the beginning and had me rooting for him. Matt's having to behave and get his life straightened out and even though he's doing his best, he was not expecting to run into someone like Lana. He didn't realize she was changing the rules he was given!!

Like I said Lana was a hard person to like at first. There were times I wanted to smack some sense into her so I kept reading. Once I realized why and what then I understood her more.

These two had me fanning and needing to get some relief from the intense chemistry and heat they were producing. So, with that said, be prepared for a bumpy rollercoaster ride that Matt & Lana will put you through. And Ms Bay, thank you for that Epilogue!! 4.5 Stars

"There was no way a Hollywood superstar and a girl from Worthington, Maine, were meant to be together."

A solid read but maybe a little bit long. It's the classic Hollywood star meets "regular" girl who doesn't know who he is, he's super into that, she finds out and doesn't want the fame, can they be together story. Both leads were good though I didn't LOVE either of them. There was a solid cast of supporting characters that were colorful and interesting. The person who wrote this did have a decent amount of Hollywood knowledge (I'm an LA girl) by the words and storylines in the book which were correct but a lot of people outside of the scene wouldn't know.

All in all, a good read but nothing extraordinary so make it a re-read for me.

Hollywood Scandal was the second novel from Louise Bay, and the first Hollywood-inspired romance that I've read. I really liked the storyline and characters, and I once again enjoyed Louise Bay's writing style.

I liked Matt and Lana's personalities and chemistry together, and I enjoyed how their relationship progressed throughout. I liked reading the book from both of their POV, and I enjoyed most of their banter and interactions with each other. There were a few annoying parts that I didn't care for all that much, but otherwise I enjoyed it. While I really liked Hollywood Scandal, something was missing for me, that special spark if you will, that prevented me from giving it five stars. With that being said, I liked how Matt and Lana's story ended and I was pleased with the outcome.

Even though Hollywood Scandal wasn't my favorite novel from Louise Bay (I loved Duke of Manhattan a lot more), I am still looking forward to reading more stories from this author, and I'm excited to see what she releases next!

A movie star 🕺🏻 and an ordinary girl 💁🏻 falls in love. The H has come to shoot a movie at a small town where the h is his next door neighbor. Add to the fact that the h is unaware that the H is a movie star.
This book has nothing new. It was flat and draggy. The only nice thing was that the h was not some desperate girl and doesn't jumps into the H, the moment they meet. She ignores him.
I didn't like the H . Hearing him say about his past, his fake relationships and his booty calls was so damn boring and irritating 😴😖.
It's not a bad book. It's just that I have already read so many good books with the same theme that I can't stop myself from comparing them🙃

Hollywood Scandal made me smile throughout and I just couldn't stop listening to Lana and Matt's story! 💖
Tropes:
✔️ forced proximity
✔️ opposites attract
✔️ small town

Living the quiet life in Coastal Maine is Lana Kelly's jam, and I've gotta say, I envy her! 🌊 But when she rents out her next door cottage to a mystery tenant who turns out to be none other than the swoon-worthy actor Matt Easton, life takes an unexpected turn! 🤩🏡

Matt's fame doesn't faze Lana one bit, and that's what makes their connection so irresistible! 🔥 Their chemistry is off the charts, and I couldn't get enough of their sweet, down-to-earth moments together. 😍

But here's the twist: Matt's keeping his true identity a secret, reveling in the fact that Lana doesn't recognize him. 🤐 He's determined to be just a regular guy in her eyes for as long as possible. Meanwhile, Lana, the queen of simplicity, wants nothing complicated with Matt. Can they make it work once she finds out who he truly is and has to face the constant media scrutiny and Matt's elaborate PR charade? 📸💔

This book is all about deep emotional connections, relatable characters, and the power of love. 💑 Lana and Matt's journey is filled with witty banter, sizzling chemistry, and heartwarming romance. 🗣️💕

"There was no way a Hollywood superstar and a girl from Worthington, Maine, were meant to be together."

Matt Easton is making a massive effort to clean up his reputation. He's in Maine filming a new movie and renting a cottage in Worthington to enjoy the solitude and quiet of being in a small town. When a firecracker of a woman tells him off for standing in a bandstand during a storm, he's immediately attracted to her - and what a bonus that she turns out to be his next door neighbour. However, he really needs to keep his distance because of his whole clean image thing.

"The thought of being his was intoxicating. Every woman in the world wanted him and he'd picked me."

Lana Kelly acknowledges to herself that her new temporary neighbour is a hottie! However, she's not interested in any kind of involvement. She wants it even less when she realises that he's a hotshot Hollywood star. She enjoys her low profile and quiet life after her adventure in the big city left her scurrying home with her tail between her legs.

"She wanted me. Came for me. Not the movie star. Just me. Matt."

However, neither counted on a blazing, hot, sexual chemistry. The pull between them was powerful. Matt loves that Lana sees beyond his Hollywood image to the real man beneath. Unfortunately, Lana thinks there's an expiration date to their fling, but Matt wants something more - something lasting.

This was a fab, sexy read! I loved the premise of the whole story. Famous A lister, who's desperate to secure his financial future, and small town girl, who doesn't want fame nor fortune. The story had great pace with just the right amount of push and pull between the characters. It had low angst, and plenty of feel-good. The conclusion left me with a big smile at the end. Thoroughly recommend.

When Hollywood A-lister Matt Easton has to rent a cottage on the Coast of Maine while he's filming his latest movie he thought he had his life all planned out, get himself a series of blockbuster movies and clean his playboy image up by having a fake steady girlfriend. Until he meets his sassy neighbor and jewelry designer Lana Kelly, Lana loves her small town and anonymity and PDA. But for the time that Matt is living next door to her the chemistry between them becomes stronger than they expected. I really liked this story both Matt and Lana are just so sweet together and their emotional connection was very natural and beautiful. The sex was very hot and steamy and the story line interesting and tender. Narrated by the brilliant and sexy duo Andi Arndt & Sebastian York.

This one was a miss!
I really didn't connect with the characters, the story is slow and drags a bit.

4.5 Starworthy CROWNS

Louise Bay has an incredible talent of mixing romantic, swoon-worthy moments with steamy, passionate scenes to make a romance that kills me every single time!

Matt Easton is the perfect Hollywood heartthrob! He has the good-looks and and the heart to match. There are elements of his character that are typical for this storyline, such as his out of control past, but it didn't detract from how sweet and kind he is to everyone and how good he is in the bedroom. Matt Easton might very well be my favorite Louise Bay hero to date.

Lana is more of a recluse, hiding in her hometown. Throughout the novel, it becomes clear that fear grips her and is the reason she stays. There are several moments of anxiety, and, as they story develops, readers are shown what has spurred her anxiety of notoriety. While readers understand the purpose of her fear, like Matt, they want her to be braver and to fight for him and their relationship.

Based on the character development over the course of the novel, the plot and the conflict of the story are apparent. Even though, these elements are not a surprise, Louise Bay still delivers a story that is entertaining and romantic. The characters alone make it a story to enjoy. Readers will also adore the ending she gives them. It perfectly matches who these two are together and as individuals, showing how real love can be.

Hollywood Scandal is sure to be another hit for this author. Readers can never go wrong with her characters or romances! They are perfect.
