The combination of rock music and opera is always charming and priceless.
But what about visual kei in fusion with symphonic sounds , theatrical scenes and extraordinary costumes ?!I am really happy to introduce you the next japanese rock band with big potential.
Lacroix Despheres is a symphonic rock opera band originally from Japan . Their incredible styles , sounds and talent makes them stand out from other visual kei bands very much .Beside being part of this v-kei rock opera band , their activities includes theatrical arts too.
Today the vocalist Sho agreed to answer to my interview dedicated to japanese rock fans from Romania and from all Europe as well . Lets get started because there are a lot of interesting things that you will found out about them . You will enjoy to the maximum .The answers are really worth reading ~~
Mr Sho ( vocalist of Lacroix Despheres ) First i want to thank you for answering in english to my interview. Was such a nice gesture from your part .So, with this opportunity their interview has been written more easily and quickly.
1 . Please introduce yourself and the rest of the band members .
I started composing music since childhood using the piano from my house.
Then, I started to study music composition and classical singing methods when I was in high school. I graduated from Kunitachi College of Music with a bachelor's degree in Classical Composition. When I was in College, I formed Lacroix Despheres.
Saya is the Soprano Vocalist. She sang in a choir when she was child and learned Christian culture and hymns also. She have many voice types, she can hit the high notes of a soprano in classical music and as well she have powerful vocals suitable for rock music. In addition, she is also designing the CD covers. She likes animals. In particular dogs and capybara.
Pegeot is a guitar player. He participates in Lacroix Despheres from 2008. His live performance is a quiet style. However, he always insists to be present a variety of acts for each live. He loves liquor and sleeping.
Satomi is an oboist player. The band that has oboist also is very rare. She learned to play oboe in Kunitachi College of Music, too. The ensemble of her oboe and Mizuki`flute is an important characteristic of Lacroix Despheres`s music. Her hobbies are drinking tea and climbing mountains.
2 . Explain the meaning and origin of the band name ?
Sho : Lacroix Despheres are two french words "La croix des sphéres" meaning "The cross of the sphere"
We wish that the concepts of "soprano and male vocal", "band sound and orchestra sound","rock music and classical music"and "the melody and the dialog" to turn into a cross and our band to fly and spreading all over the world.
3 . Who came up with the idea of wearing these elegant and sophisticated styles on stage ?
Sho : We enjoy these styles since we were born.
4 . What is the source of inspiration in the process of creating music ?
Sho : I have various life experiences. I try to not forget any of them. In fact, I feel like I remember memories from a previous existence.
5 . Do you consider Lacroix Despheres a visual kei band ? or just a metal symphonic band ?
Sho : Suffice it to say, we are a visual kei band. But, I am glad if you enjoy our music regardless of genre.
6 . Sho ( vocalist of Lacroix Despheres ) ? You participated in Tour 2014 , The Death Parade of KAMIJO as a member of Household Troops , right ? Tell us more about that collaboration ? How did you felt ?
Sho : I was very honored that I was able to participate in the live of the artist whom i respect.
7 . Towards the stretch goal to achieve the collaboration with full orchestra , how was the support you received from people ?
Sho : A good reaction came back than I imagined it. We never give up this aim!!!
8 . How is the connection and feelings between the band members on the stage ? it`s always the same ? or everytime is a new challenge ?
Sho : Because our lives performances are rock opera, we play the character of the story. There are not personal feelings of the members and the relationship between characters only exists there.
9 . Any new project or collaboration coming up this year ?
Sho : We will release the new album "Dernier Paradis act3" and are going to perform a rock opera performance.
Sho : I was very honored that I was able to participate in the live of the artist whom i respect.

10 . What song made the biggest impact to the audience so far ?
Sho : It is Scivias.This song is the most popular among V-kei fans and METAL fans.
