雲門舞集首次來馬來西亞演出 Cloud Gate Dance Theatre – Songs of the Wanderers First Tour to Malaysia
知道雲門舞集要到馬來西亞延出的消息真令人興奮啊！這是雲門舞集首次來馬來西亞演出，能夠邀請到國際知名的舞團多麼令人驕傲啊！
希望雲門舞集在我們的國家演出成功，也很感謝各位鼎力支持的各界好友，讓馬來西亞的藝文水平更上一層樓！
享譽國際的台灣藝術團體“雲門舞集”，將在2月份來馬上演經典作品《流浪者之歌》（Songs Of Wanderers）！這是雲門舞集首次來馬演出，有興趣者請及早購票，以免向隅。
第一場演出於2月10日（星期五），在檳州大會堂晚上8時30分開始。第二場及第三場則落在2月16及17日（星期四及五），晚上8時30分，地點在首都吉隆坡文化宮國家劇院。
這項活動由大馬手集團和紫籐集團聯合主辦，星洲日報、光明日報為媒體夥伴。
台灣國寶級編舞家林懷民於1973年創辦“雲門舞集”，以獨特創意、精湛舞技，站上台灣、歐美、亞、澳各地逾200個舞台，呈獻超過160齣舞作，逾1千700場演出。
“雲門舞集”雖被譽為世界華人的第一個現代舞團，但舞者們的表演並不局限在國際舞台上。他們在1999年成立了“雲門舞集2”，走入鄉區為民眾表演，讓老人小孩受到藝術文化的薰陶。
開辦舞蹈教育課程
同時，他們也開辦舞蹈教育課程，讓年輕人學習舞蹈，培養對藝術的欣賞能力。
該團舞作融入了靜坐、太極、拳術和書法等元素，如從書法汲取靈感的《行草》舞作。另有編舞靈感取自佛門偈語“鏡花水月畢竟總成空”的《水月》，並將太極動作融入舞蹈裡。其餘代表作還包括《白蛇傳》、《紅樓夢》、《薪傳》和《九歌》等。
此次《流浪者之歌》舞作是林懷民1994年，印度菩提伽耶孤身之旅後潛心創作而成。他從德國作家赫曼‧赫賽據佛教故事改寫小說《流浪者之歌》取得靈感，編出細膩的舞蹈，刻劃出求道者虔誠渴慕的流浪生涯。
林懷民在菩提伽耶體悟的感受，讓他創作了這部舞作。他藉由慢速度的舞蹈動作，演繹出對生命修行的思考，以及靜觀心靈，許多觀眾都不禁落淚。
“雲門舞集”在檳城演出的票價分別為68、168、268及368令吉；而吉隆坡的除了上述票價以外，另還有128及468令吉的票價。

莊立康：提昇大馬文化藝術水平
手集團行政總監莊立康受訪時表示，他們於2009年曼谷國際音樂舞蹈藝術節，認識了“雲門舞集”創辦人林懷民。
他說，得悉林懷民將在2月到新加坡演出，便立即抓緊機會安排他們來馬演出。
“選擇以檳城作為首演據點，是因為檳城入世遺的身份。此外，英國現代舞團‘阿喀汗’在7月份喬治市入遺文化節公演時，引起很大迴響，若邀‘雲門舞集’前來表演，相信對提昇大馬文化藝術水平會有一定幫助。”
Oriental arts are rarely appreciated, as many label it, uncool. Truth is, it is a delicate scrape of complexity. Like sewing, it requires much care, patience and skill. In February 2012, Asia’s first modern dance company and one of world’s bests, Cloud Gate will be magnetizing audiences into a splendid purification rite.
Songs of the Wanderers is the title of their act, as they depict the memoirs of Buddha’s trip to Bodh Gaya. Taking you on flight over the clouds of the practice of asceticism, a river’s peaceful flow and solitary wonders, it will be 90 minutes treat as the stage too, has been uniquely landscaped by 3.5 tons of rice.
Born and bred in the late 70s, they have toured worldwide and travelled via great lengths obtaining numerous national and international awards. Recently departed from London for their 7th visit, it will be Cloud Gate’s first tour to Malaysia and they enthused to flaunt their Asian uniqueness!
Istana Budaya is the first theatre in Asia to be equipped with state-of-the-art stage equipment and also rated among the ten most sophisticated theaters in the world. Istana Budaya 皇家劇院是馬來西亞的國家劇院，也是世界十大舞臺之一，雲門舞集首次來馬來西亞吉隆坡表演的演出地點於此。

雲門舞集簡介
黃帝時，大容作雲門，大卷… 《呂氏春秋》
根據古籍，「雲門」是中國最古老的舞蹈，相傳存在於五千年前的黃帝時代，舞容舞步均已失傳，只留下這個美麗的舞名。
1973年春天，林懷民以「雲門」作為舞團的名稱。這是台灣第一個職業舞團，也是所有華語社會的第一個當代舞團。
36年來，雲門的舞台上呈現一百六十多齣舞作。古典文學、民間故事、台灣歷史、社會現象的衍化發揮，乃至前衛觀念的嘗試，雲門舞碼豐富精良。多齣舞作因受歡迎，一再搬演，而成為台灣社會兩三代人的共同記憶。
從台北的國家戲劇院，到各縣市文化中心、體育館、鄉鎮學校禮堂，雲門在台灣定期與觀眾見面；每年輪流在各城市舉行戶外演出，吸引數萬觀眾參與。演出結束後，會場沒有留下任何垃圾紙片，建立了美好的廣場文化。
雲門也經常應邀赴海外演出，是國際重要藝術節的常客。舞團在台灣及歐、美、亞、澳各洲兩百多個舞台上，演出超過一千七百場，以獨特的創意，精湛的舞技，獲得各地觀眾與舞評家的熱烈讚賞：

2003年，《紐約時報》首席舞評家安娜．吉辛珂芙將雲門的《水月》列為該年最佳舞作的首選；為澳洲墨爾本藝術節揭幕的《行草 貳》，榮獲時代評論獎及觀眾票選最佳節目；2004、2005年，《行草 貳》、《狂草》獲台新年度表演藝術獎；2006年，德國《國際舞蹈》與《今日劇場》雜誌邀請歐陸重要舞評家，共同遴選「行草三部曲」為「年度最佳舞作」。
雲門舞者多為國內舞蹈科系畢業生，他們的訓練包括現代舞、芭蕾、京劇動作、太極導引、靜坐與內家拳。
林懷民與雲門的故事，由楊孟瑜撰寫成《飆舞》一書，天下文化公司出版；張照堂監製的《踊舞．踏歌 雲門30》紀錄片，由公共電視製作發行。
多齣雲門作品也拍攝為舞蹈影片問世。在荷蘭攝製的《流浪者之歌》，在法國攝製的《水月》，在德國拍攝的《竹夢》以及在瑞士拍攝的《行草 貳》，為多國電視台播放，並製成DVD發行全球。《雲門‧傳奇》舞作套裝DVD由金革發行。
1998年，雲門創立雲門舞集舞蹈教室，以多年專業經驗創造「生活律動」教材，讓四歲到八十四歲的學員，透過啟發性的教學，認識自己的身體，創造自己的生命律動。
1999年，雲門在創立26年後成立子團「雲門舞集２」，深入台灣各地校園和社區，為更多的觀眾演出。舞團的年度公演「春鬥」，以演出台灣年輕編舞家的作品為主。2000年啟動的藝術駐校活動，獲得大專院校學生熱烈好評，已有近2千3百位學生選修。2007年開啟「藝術駐縣活動」，舞團進駐城鄉，深耕地方藝術推廣。
2003年，雲門三十週年，台北市政府特別將雲門辦公室所在地的復興北路231巷定名為「雲門巷」，「肯定並感謝雲門舞集三十年來為台北帶來的感動與榮耀。」
2010年，中央大學鹿林天文台將新發現的小行星命名為「雲門」，表彰雲門在藝術上的成就。

1947年，出生於臺灣嘉義新港，曾祖父林維朝祖籍漳州龍溪，1887年（清光緒十三年）秀才。祖父林開泰為留學日本的醫生，父親林金生則為臺灣省首任嘉義縣長。
1961年，14歲，就讀台中一中。該年美國荷西·李蒙（Jose Limon）現代舞團來台表演。啟蒙了林懷民對舞蹈的熱愛。此時林懷民也開始寫作，作品?兒歌?刊登在《聯合報》的副刊上。他用稿費上了生平第一次的舞蹈課，為期兩個月
1962年，就讀于衛道中學。
1965年，18歲，考上“國立”政治大學法律系。
1966年，19歲，從法律系轉到新聞系就讀。並開始間段的習舞。曾師事旅美舞蹈家黃忠良。
1967年，臺灣舞蹈家王仁璐首度引進現代舞大師瑪莎·葛蘭姆的技巧，並在西門町附近的中山堂，舉辦臺灣第一次現代舞蹈發表會，啟蒙了林懷民對於瑪莎·葛蘭姆現代舞編舞理念的喜好。
1969年，22歲，出版中短篇小說集《蟬》，畢業後留學美國，念密蘇裡大學新聞系碩士班，並正式在瑪莎·葛蘭姆以及摩斯·康寧漢舞蹈學校研習現代舞。
1972年，25歲，愛荷華大學英文系小說創作班畢業，獲藝術創作碩士學位。
1973年，26歲，回臺北創辦臺灣第一個現代舞劇團“雲門舞集”。
1980年，獲第五屆臺灣大橋“國家文藝獎”及第三屆吳三連文藝獎。
1983年，36歲，創辦臺灣“國立”藝術學院舞蹈系，為第一任系主任，研究所所長。
1996年，獲紐約市政府文化局“亞洲藝術家終生成就獎”。
1983年，獲第一屆世界十大傑出青年。
1993年，出版?說舞?與?擦肩而過?兩本書，由遠流出版社出版。
1996年，赴奧地利葛拉茲歌劇院，導演歌劇「羅生門」
1997年，獲香港演藝學院榮譽院士。
1999年，53歲，獲頒有「亞洲諾貝爾獎」之稱的麥格塞塞獎（Ramon Magsaysay Award）。在柬埔寨協助當地舞者組構教案，推廣瀕臨失傳的古典舞。
2000年，獲歐洲舞蹈雜誌選為“二十世紀編舞名家”。國際芭蕾雜誌列為“年度人物”。
2005年，獲選Discovery頻道臺灣人物志。
2005年，上美國時代（TIME）雜誌的2005年亞洲英雄榜。
