Thesis Launch

Week 1 Countdown: LEARN

This week's theme is "Learn," and you may have already completed some of these steps! The goal is to learn about the thesis process and what to expect big-picture with the thesis.

To Do List: 3-2-1-LAUNCH!

3) Learn about the honors thesis by completing a thesis workshop. We offer these both in-person and online through Blackboard. Find upcoming in-person dates, or start the online workshop today.

    • If you've already completed a thesis workshop, move on to task 2! Not sure if you've done this--email trisha.eardley@asu.edu to check.

2) Have you come in for Barrett advising yet this year? Come in for your Barrett 3rd year advising to learn more about the thesis. Schedule online through your MyASU or use this link.

    • If you've already completed advising or have it scheduled, move on to your Week 1 reflection journal!

1) Complete your Week 1 online reflection journal.

    • Why is completing an honors thesis important to me? Learning job skills? Collaborating with experts? Personal perseverance? Completing a challenge? Or something else? Write down in the online journal why it's important to you. You'll want to revisit this later when you’re working on your thesis.

You may feel uncertainty at the beginning stages of this process, and that’s normal and ok. Trust in the process, and the more you put into it, the more you’ll get out of it.
