The five Wildlife Trusts in Wales are joining forces to mobilise young people to tackle the climate and ecological crises head-on. From 2020 to 2024, we will work to empower and inspire young people to take action for nature and wildlife in their local area. In this youth-led initiative, our members get to decide what action they want to see in their communities, anything from campaign action to nature walks. Through this project, you get to meet like-minded people and learn all about the natural world in an engaging and empowering way.

Why Now?

There has never been a more important time to take action for nature. We are currently facing a climate and nature emergency, with 17% of species in Wales at risk of extinction. Nature is being choked in both our rural and urban areas, and as such we have never been more disconnected from our natural world. But there is still time to change this! By working together, we can reverse the decline in biodiversity and safeguard against the worst effects of climate change. Let Wales be the example for the rest of the world, and let young people lead the way!
