Install Mod Dota 2 Reborn (Shutnik Method)
This mod install is for anyone who experienced some problem with dota2slasher, shady installer, or ovpatch not working mod after new update like me, it's recommended for experienced user, little bit confusing at first, but when you dig this method, actually pretty simple and no need to inject things or patch things after update, it's like permanent mods
After every UPDATE, check if mod is working, if not use STEP 3 to make the mods works again, repeat this step whenever MOD is not working
STEP 1
First of all, you need to download this items :
VPK Creator : www.mediafire.com/download/n59dw1czxz8gn5n/VPK_CREATOR.rar
extract the VPK creator on your HDD, no particular path, extract it to your desired path
STEP 2
ok, after you have a vpk creator, leave it for now, go to > SteamApps > common > Dota 2 beta > game > and create a folder, name anything you want..
Now we will create folder, where our mods will be stored. In that example i call that folder "Reborn_Mods".
STEP 3
Now go to SteamApps > common > Dota 2 beta > game > dota > and search the file caled "gameinfo.gi", open it with notepad and you will find this
pay attention on the red square, now you have to add your "folder" in the step 2 which is "Reborn_Mods", it should be like this
STEP 4
now open your VPK Creator folder and look up a folder called "pak01_dir", copy any content of your mod like models, particles, material, sound etc in this folder, and it will look like this
STEP 5
after all mod placed on pak01_dir folder, back to VPK creator folder and double click "Create vpk-archieve from pak01_dir folder.bat" it will create our new pak01_dir.vpk, like this
LAST STEP
Cut or copy your new "pak01_dir.vpk" to the "Reborn_Mods" folder that we have created on STEP 2..
voila, ALL done..
For complete full mod bones model like illidan, pandaren, nova, lich king, abathur , or every anime char, sometimes you will need these 2 files because this mods is non store items

Note : after update, no worries, mod will still appears, no need to inject or patch
Note 2 : to add new mods, just copy the new mod to your VPK creator pak01_dir folder, just batch into vpk, and copy paste again to Reborn_Mods folder we have created on step 2
Note 3: to delete mods, delete pak01_dir.vpk in Reborn_Mods folder, delete mods you want to delete in the pak01_dir folder on vpk creator and repeat STEP 5Hope it helps

for cursor i suggest you to use ovpatch instead of vpk creator, try search the install mod help section for ovpatch mode. -

i follow the install instructions, but everytime i start my steam, it always downloading/validating, yea update but update on disk usage not on mB so its not use my packet data, and i always edit gameinfo.gi everytime (repeat step 3) how to skip those validating update? it kinda annoying everytime i rpeat step3-finish then playt dota, and quit dota, but after sometime i play dota again it always vavlidating update, which is always repeat step 3 again and again
it happenned since yesterday, day before ysterday still fine. -

it happenned since yesterday, day before ysterday still fine
those update cannot be avoided, it will gone after several days maybe 2 or 3 days, it happens due some missing file, wrong allocated file, new update or corrupted file, dota will automatically replace those file so no worries, it's has nothing to do with this mod method unless you're using inject program before
if after 3 days still no luck, use verify game cache, it mostly caused by corrupted file.
