New Delhi: Deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia has asked the directorate of education to relax rules for the admission of
Madhu, who had moved from Pakistan two years ago and has been struggling to secure admission due to lack of documents.
Earlier, external affairs minister
Sushma Swaraj had promised to
help Madhu.
In a letter addressed to Sisodia, Madhu stated that she wanted to continue her schooling but lacked sufficient documents to get admitted.
Madhu had earlier written to the chief minister.
“We need to walk the extra mile to accommodate her desire. She would be provided admission at any of our government schools,” wrote Sisodia in his letter to the DoE.
He further said that she should also be provided with all the necessary books, and uniforms.
