As soon as she spots him, she can’t keep her eyes off him…
When Paige Reed spots a man across the room at a party, she’s fascinated and decides she wants him in her bed. Fortunately, her husband, Connor, doesn’t mind. He’s attracted to the powerful man too.
Always bi-curious, the right opportunity has never presented itself to Connor Morgan. Until now. He doesn’t mind bringing another man into their marriage as long as it doesn’t drive a wedge between him and Paige.
Former NFL player, Graedon Ward likes to be in control. He’s more than pleased with Paige's obvious interest. However, she makes it quite clear: it's a package deal. If he wants her, he has to take on her husband too, and past experience has taught him that’s a dangerous road to travel.
The chemistry between the three is explosive, but it’s Grae’s desire to share the same level of intimacy he sees between Paige and Conner that puts real pressure on the threesome. And it may cause it all to crash and burn.
Note: This book in the series can be read as stand-alone. It includes an HEA ending. It is intended for audiences over 18 years of age since it includes light BDSM as well as explicit sexual scenes between all three characters.

1+2=3 (+2 because it's better than that) ménagealicious stars for DARE TO BE THREE!
Paige Reed and her husband Connor Morgan have been searching for the right man to join their lives, and their bed. They think they've found him in the quietly stoic former professional football player Graedon Ward. But while Grae might be the strong silent type, he's nothing but bossy in the bedroom. At first, they all are happy in this playful arrangement they have…but Grae wants more from the two of them. The only question is whether there's room for another person in the blissful life the couple has carved out with each other.
I'm sure better ménage books have been written, but right now I seriously can't think of one. The level of hotness in DARE TO BE THREE, book 3 in the Dare Ménage series, was wickedly hot, emotional and all around deliciously decadent book! I loved the interplay between the three of them…you could really feel the chemistry between them as the story worked out. I had hoped for a little bit more juicy drama, something to sink my teeth into, but this was still an EXTREMELY hot book and one I wholeheartedly recommend to fans of bisexual ménage!
Bottom Line: Delectable MMF sharing; some condom use; light BDSM/kink (erotic spankings, light bondage); no sexual assault; no violence/murder. - See more at: http://glbt.theromancereviews.com/vie...
I don't like menages where I feel like the relationship isn't equal, which is what I felt here. I feel like graedon liked Paige way more than he liked Connor. If it's going to be an mmf, make it a true mmf.
4.5 star review of Dare To Be Three (The Dare Menage Series #3) by Jeanne St James
Audio Review:
Narrated by Ava Lucas, JF Harding and Sean Crisden this was an engaging story that kept my attention throughout.
I love a woman (and a man) who knows what or who they want and goes for it. When Paige and her husband Connor see Graedon Ward they are both immediately attracted and intrigued by him. Connor is bi curious and Paige makes it clear to Grae that it is a package deal with them both or there is nothing.
There was certainly some intense chemistry between all three of the characters and the narration by Ava Lucas, JF Harding and Sea Crisden really added to my listening enjoyment.
Grae likes to be in control so there is some head butting as Connor and Paige to a lesser extent come to terms with the evolving relationship. Grae not only wants the passion but he also wants an intimate relationship with Paige and Connor and the relationship will be tested.
There was certainly some intense chemistry between all three of the characters and the narration by Ava Lucas, JF Harding and Sea Crisden really added to my listening enjoyment.
I did feel that the story ended rather suddenly once they finally got together but that is just my opinion.
Other readers feel that this series is getting stronger, but I'm not feeling it. The first one was outstanding, #2 and #3 were just meh. I realize that the stories needs to evolve or they'll become repetitive, but this lacked the sizzle and joy of the first one.
I may read the next one, as I'm a fan of the theme.
I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily reviewing.
I thought th characters were well developed. The sex scenes were hot! I love the possibilities one can explore with menage romances. I highly recommend for fans of the genre. This is well written and has a great plot line!
What happens when you take a happily married couple and add a domineering man to the mix? An explosion of passion, lust, love, and exploration. For Grae, it isn't the question of whether he finds the married couple attractive. It's whether Paige and Connor can go from being a couple to a threesome. Listen in as Paige and Connor go from being a seamlessly smooth couple and try to just as seamlessly become a threesome with the sexy Grae. I have always found the topic of a threesome to be uber sexy and Jeanne St. James makes my sex-o-meter go from hot to boiling in a matter of minutes. I love the way she incorporates real problems a new threesome may face. It brings about a realism to an otherwise fantasy world. If you like sex so hot you feel like you need a cold drink afterwards, sexy men who ooze sensuality and alpha maleness, and women who can handle the rough and tumble men, then I dare you to pick up this series. I have reviewed this audiobook in exchange for a fair and honest review.
Paige and Connor are happily married and in love and they considering adding another man to their relationship. While at a party they see ex-NFL football player Grae who they believe could be the one and he returns their interest. Grae wants Paige and he is willing to accept Conner as part of the relationship and they decide to temporarily live together to see how it works. This is a great story about two becoming three and the adjustments that they all must make in order to ensure that all are equal partners and the communication required to ensure that all their needs are met. Although Grae is domineering and private while Connor is easy going and open when combined with Paige they all fit and the chemistry is hot! I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
5 plus stars!!! This wAs my favorite book in this series, pulled me in one page 1 and did not let me go until the end. Their story was great , the emotions flew off the pages. I felt like I was going through and experiencing their different challenges their new relationship brought. There was so much passion in this book, it left me emotionally spent. I literally felt like I was coming off an emotional roller coaster. Jeanne definitely out did herself with this one. This book will blow your mind
Intense is the best word to describe Dare to be Three. Fantasy’s divulged some tantalizingly fulfilled, but jealousy gets in the way when one feels like a side dish while Ava Lucas, J.F. Harding and Sean Crisden tell us about this promising, wonderful relationship. In Jeanne St. James signature way.
Really enjoyed this story. How he supported his wife in what she wanted, in the end finding what he wanted too. Was a great read, with ménage scenes in it. Narration was awesome too.
So hot you'll melt your kindle! A definite one handed read. Jeanne St James has the talent for taking things that you don't think you'd like and make you love it!
This is the third book in the series and we meet Paige Reed in book one - she is Logan's sister and fantasies about a ménage. Paige's husband, Connor Morgan seems to go along for the ride.
Retired due to near-fetal heart defect, former football player Graedon Ward takes Paige's fancy at a party and she invites him to "play". Grae likes to be dominant and soon establishes rules and what starts off as a simple arrangement soon becomes quite intense between the three of them.
I struggled with this one on several levels. The relationship seemed forced between Grae and Connor, Grae was all about Paige and vice-versa. Paige seemed to be the sole focus, making the relationship very uneven. There were a number of awkward scenes, the smexy time didn't read well, the lack of establishing a relationship, trust issues and the unbelievable speed of going from "lets play" to being in a committed relationship made my head spin. I felt that poor ol' Connor should just pack his bag and make a run for it whilst the going was good.
I really didn't care if they made it or not - but they do, because I wasn't going to be defeated and I had to finish - even when the ending of the story again dived off a cliff. I foolishly bought the first 4 books out of the 5 book series with a birthday voucher - and I have been burnt by this gluttonous purchasing in the past, so more fool me - it may be sometime before I get round to reading more.
Each time I listen to one of Jeanne St James's books, I know I am in for a good story. This one caught me up in the budding relationship of Conner, Paige and Graedon. Paige and Conner are married and looking to find that piece to make their relationship even better. When Graedon, ex-NFL player comes in, he may just be the man to for the job. What I love about the Dare Menage series, is St. James while building the relationships of the characters, there is always an underlying story that makes the listen more than just steam and passion. The story has depth, from dealing with health and trust issues, as well as integrating into an existing relationship. Pick this one up, and you will enjoy this trio as they meld together, learn to love and find their happiness.
As always, Jeanne St James finds the best voices to fit her characters. Sean Crisden as Graedon is spot on. He has that alpha male feel that Graedon enforces, yet he has a soft and vulnerable tendency as we learn more about Gray. Needing a little Aussie accent, JF Harding comes in and nails Conner. Conner comes off with his love of Paige, and his need to explore more. I love Harding's interpretation. And Ava Lucas pulls the three characters together in her POV narration of Paige. She adds the Aussie accent for Conner, the gruffness of Gray and I love her as Paige. She gives us the confidence and understanding only a woman has and makes us feel it all as this couple comes together. Brilliant narration.
Unfortunately, I didn't connect to this one. It seemed a bit like Grae said he felt, he was a third wheel to Paige and Connor's relationship. In the book, I never got to see them really come together as one unit, so it just wasn't believable to me. And honestly, in my mind, I'm not sure that I believe that Grae would ever garner the same amount of weight in their triad, which may have affected my enjoyment of the book overall.
Regarding the audiobook: the narration was great, I just wish there would have been more parts by the guys. It seemed that the writing was more about Paige in this one, which may have been by design since I'm sure it's mostly women reading it, but it made it harder for me to get into the minds of the guys, and that could have also been something that didn't allow me to connect as much.
Missing the chemistry between all three. I didn't think Grae was very nice in bed or outside of it. He doesn't talk to them and then complains he felt excluded. What a tease at the end - grrr.
While I agree with another review that Paige and Connor left Grae out, I'm also thinking Connor was not really involved much. The sex was very hot but it almost always seemed it was just Paige and Grae. There was absolutely no chemistry with Connor and Grae - not even sure Grae liked Connor. With the number of orgasms Grae was giving Paige and their chemistry (in bed only) I can totally see 5 years down the line it being only them together and pushing Connor out. Poor Connor.
Narration was good - heavy on the female POV like the previous books.
This is book 3 of the 6 book series which all seem to be based on MMF relationships. This one differed from the first 2 in the sense the this is a married male/ female couple, who are seeking a male to make them a trio. They have their eyes set on a retired black football player who is friends with her brother and his husband. The husband is only bicurious heading into their journey, but soon learns he is really liking that dynamic. This showed the complications of a 3rd person entering into a relationship with an already established couple. There are developed feelings, patterns and ways that could easily make another feel left out. They almost don't survive this, but do end up with their HEA. Each book, you get glimpses of the previous trios and their progress as well.

God I love Jeanne's books so much. You get lost in the words feeling like you are part of it, it's so much more than reading it's the emotion that goes with it, every turn of the page pulls you further into the story. You want Paige to help Grae find himself and realise what she's felt all along, both her and Connor know but he has to work it out. The way she writes is amazing I just love her style, she knows how the emotions flow through everyone and how they would feel, how they found being in a menage. They had seen 6 of their friends try it, both her and Connor wanted what they had, her brother had succeed in it and had never looked back, she wanted that was it so wrong to go looking for it? The passion in this book is so hot and you feel it all seeping through every word, it feels alive, amazing and right. I was drawn into the whole concept of the menage in the first series and just love what Jeanne does with the thought of it, every book is so different and yet has the same link, you see the characters grow through the series which links them all to each other, I like the way they can relate to each other and you get to see them again. It can be read as a stand alone but I'd definitely recommend reading the whole series it's brilliant.
He was dark. So dark, the rich, deep tone of his skin reminded her of ripe plum.
Ripe plum? *Googles*
Purple bluish fruit...
Snippets of dialogue without monologues in between. “I won’t harm you.” “In case you’re worried since we’re alone together,” “Some women are afraid of black men,” “Why?” “You tell me. You’re a white woman.”
Holly Molly! SO SO HOT HOT! This one was the best story in this series! So full of emotions, anxiety, real feelings when an established relationship would invite someone new there. I never thought that I would get these many emotions from this book - angst, love, steam, happiness. Ms. St. James did a great job here! Hopefully, I will have the pleasure to read the next book in that series soon.
This is a great addition to the series. Grae is so freaking hot and the way he just takes overs is hot. Paige is in a world all by herself but she loves her guys and will not yet anyone halfass anything the three of them. Conner is so laid back and let's nothing get to him. Grae holds things in and keeps himself closed off. Paige breaks down his walls and makes it clear she want let him hide. Conner falls for Grae and Grae can't believe how much he loves them already. Grae runs from them when is ass of a sister keeps gives him her though about his life style. But Paige will not give up her men. Will Paige get the love she wants? Will Grae open up to them. The only way to find out is get the book of you have not read book 1&2 get them to you will love this book. I highly recommend this.
This series is amazing! Well written and sexy, the characters leap off the page. I love the fact that all the characters know one another and show up in subsequent books.
This book was awesome! of all the Dare books i have read in this series- I think this one is my favorite! Something about the dynamic really upped the heat for me. Great book!
Narration was fabulous as always. No complains at all!
I really liked this but wanted Grae to be more open. We never got his background/history from him or him actually telling Conner and Paige. That aside, I would totally still recommend this!
I didn't care for this story as much. I never felt the connection between the 3 of them. And I completely agreed that they left Grae out. You'd think the shiny new toy would get more attention, but I guess not. So this story wasn't quite as blissfully happy as I like, but it was still as good addition to the series.
Whoa! Sean Crisden does a great DEEP male voice, and JF Harding did an Australian accent, too.
I was provided audio review copies of the entire Dare Menage series (YES!) by the author in exchange for honest reviews. Thank you Jeanne St. James!
