SMP tiltrotator offset digging with a Cat 307C

Spotted this new video from my old Swedish friend Alexander Lipkin (BM1113 on www.maskinisten.net) and thought it would be great to share it here on the Digger Man Blog.

With tiltrotators finally being accepted as the must have attachment on excavators from 2 to 32 tonnes here in the UK, it’s always great see working application videos of the game changing attachments in action saving time, labour and money. In this video we see a well looked after Caterpillar 307C complete with an SMP tiltrotator in action excavating a trench alongside a road for broadband fibre optic cables.

The footage was shot in Northern Sweden which is where Alexander lives, an area where high speed broadband services are rapidly being expanded. The tiltrotator helps to speed up the process in a variety of ways and is a common fitment on the vast majority of machines in the Nordic regions especially in Sweden. I must say I was extremely impressed with the quality of the SMP products during my visit to the factory and jobsites earlier this year which really was an eye opener.
