Sick of Zumba? Gone to enough Pilates classes to last a lifetime? You’re not alone. The American College of Sports Medicine just released its survey of the top 20 fitness trends destined to be big in 2014, and neither of these two workouts made the cut.

Numbers one and two on the ACSM list are serious ass-kickers: high-intensity interval training (think P90X and CrossFit) and body-weight training (old school, gym-class style, with push-ups, pull-ups, and planks). Rounding out the list—compiled via a survey of 3,800 trainers, exercise physiologists, and other fitness professionals—are strength training, functional fitness, and group personal training sessions. That last one might be a reflection of the economy, as people may not be ready to shell out for more expensive one-on-one training.

Yoga and boot camp workouts will still be hot next year, as will core training. But don’t be surprised if the stability balls are stashed in the gym basement. According to the 8th annual survey, they’re on the way out.
