Write emails as if to one person

Write Emails As If To One Person If you think about it, your emails only get read by one person at a time. You might have thousands on your list, but each subscriber reads an email as an individual person. They expect to be communicated with as the individual they are. Even though you're sending it through your autoresponder automatically, make it seem as if it's just to them. Imagine just one person you're writing to. Even better imagine you're writing to a friend. Communicate with them on a conversational and individual level.

Imagine how they are receiving your email. What will their response be? Will they be absorbed, or excited or interested? Here's a trick. Try sending some to yourself with a delay after writing them. If you get a lot of emails you might be caught out by the subscriber line or the email's contents. It's a way of seeing your own emails with some objectivity, getting round the presumption of how you think your subscribers will receive it.
