Apple Glass revealed? Here’s what Apple’s secret smart glasses might look like
A Dutch designer has created life-like renders of Apple Glass, the long-rumoured smart glasses reported to be in secret development at Apple HQ
APPLE is almost certainly working on a pair of augmented-reality "smart glasses", but what would they look like?
One digital designer has created amazing hyper-realistic concept images that show what Apple's AR headset might look like.
The designs show an AR headset, which would use a micro-computer to overlay images onto the lens, and were created by Dutch designer Martin Hajek for iDropNews.
This would allow you to see additional information beamed onto your eyes, on top of the real world.
It's called "augmented reality", and it's different to "virtual reality", which completely simulates a virtual world around you.
On Martin's imaginary AR glasses, users could see information like phone signal, battery life, and the time.
There's also the Siri soundwave logo on the bottom of one of the lens, which suggests there's Siri functionality too.
That means you'd potentially be able to ask Siri questions and receive answers just by using Apple's smart glasses.
Apple has been rumoured to have a pair of smart glasses in development for years, although the pace of the leaks is ramping up.
Most recently, it was revealed that Apple had applied for a patent for a new lightweight smart glasses design.
Speaking to The Sun, top tech expert Daniel Ives revealed he expected the iPhone maker to launch what he called "Apple Glass" smart glasses in 2019.
"While this has been a late entrant from an AR/VR perspective, we believe Apple Glass will be the next step in the wearable category for Apple," the GBH Insights analyst told us.

"If it has the Apple logo on it and [Apple] puts its marketing power behind this, Apple Glass could help carry the torch from Apple Watch as another wearable area for the company over the coming years."
Sadly, Apple hasn't actually confirmed plans to launch a pair of smart glasses any time soon.
However, key Apple rivals have developed their own AR and VR headsets, including Samsung, Google, Microsoft, Facebook, LG, and HTC.
