the Institute for the Greening of Coerthas and Dravania invites you to

           a Chestnut Festival

                 this 10th Sun of the Sixth Umbral Moon at Fallgourd Float,

… a competition to produce an exquisite chestnut dessert, in celebration of this traditional food of the Moon of Starlight – for the display of the finesse and creativity of culinarians of the realm – and the education and enjoyment of all our guests, opening at 5 bells past noon, with final judging at 7-and-a-half.

We request that prospective competitors, as well as any interested vendors or entertainers, refer to the reverse of this flyer for prize, regulatory, and contact information.

(( Presented for your enjoyment, our first trial of an event for a series: a seasonally-themed culinary competition put on by the Ishgardians of the Institute, to promote a traditional alpine crop eaten this month – though this one is also enjoyed across the border in the Shroud.

To compete, your character must present a sweet dish including chestnuts at the Festival. What you as a player must do is submit a short (1-2 in-game “paragraph”) text description to us before judging time on the day of the Festival – 7:30 EST. You may do so here over Tumblr, by flagging us down in-game or on Discord, or just showing at the Festival with it. Detailed contact information is at the end of this post!

We will compile entries into a document that Festival attendees can view and admire. If you have an in-game café/bakery/restaurant address and/or a URL with information about your culinarian or establishment, please let us know so we can include this information for people to check out! :o

Every detail of the rules and judging are outlined in this additional post. The tl;dr is:

• No trolling IC or OOC.
• No sabotage without prearranged consent.
• No level requirements.
• There are multiple prizes awarded differently: 2 hand-picked for the qualities of the description, 1 popular vote, and 1 RNG-based.
• You may submit visuals, but the hand-picked winners will be judged based on text alone.
  
• The prizes are IC gil purses of indeterminate size, as well as real OOC gil purses.
