Dawson's Creek will forever tug at my heartstrings. I used to sneak-watch it because I knew it was bad, and though I didn't understand a lot of the so-called racy themes until later in life (like, last year if we're being honest), that didn't stop me from wanting to emulate the very obviously more mature Jen Lindley. She was a bad girl in baby doll dresses and that was just so cool. Also, for the record, Joshua Jackson will always remain my pretend boyfriend (even though in real life, he never answers any of my tweets). But today, my Dawson's Creek super fandom reached new and exciting levels by combining two of my favorite things: Capeside and canines.

In a three-minute long YouTube masterpiece, dachshunds assume the roles of the beloved Dawson's Creek cast. They cover everything from Dawson and Joey's awkward sexual tension, Pacey's Mrs. Robinson love affair, and the show's famous lengthy dialogues. This was pre-Scandal, people, and these kids spoke fast and with a lot of words. A lot. Highlights include dachshund Joey Potter climbing the ladder to dachshunds Dawson Leery's bedroom, the little known first season theme song, and then, of course, a wonderful transition into the iconic Paula Cole song complete with filtered lighting and proper actor credits. I'm officially a huge fan of Dachshund's Creek. I hope it makes it for a second season.
