Patriots quarterback writes emotional note to Obama before White House visit

After leaving room for Tom Brady in his photo at the White House, Jacoby Brissett addressed another person missing from his visit to Washington to celebrate the Patriots’ Super Bowl win: The former president, Barack Obama.

In a letter shared to his Twitter account after the White House visit, Brissett said he hopes to meet Obama one day and thanked him for all he did to be a trailblazer.

“One day, when I meet you, I will shake your hand and say thank you to your face but until then this kid is going to continue to dream until I can’t anymore,” he wrote. “Thank you for blazing a trail, but for more than that, for leaving a paved road behind you for others to climb on.”
