“The 6th Experience Macau Tour” attented by mega delegation from Mainland and Hong Kong

2013-06-20 — /travelprnews.com/ — Some 300 tourism officials, trade partners and key members of the press from Mainland and Hong Kong formed the delegation of “The 6th Experience Macau Tour” to visit Macau for coverage and exchange purposes, visiting non-gaming tourism facilities and attractions.

The delegation members represent various tourism departments, related institutes and key media from Hong Kong and 31 provinces, cities and autonomous regions in Mainland. They arrived at Macau on June 18 for a 4-day itinerary including World Heritage sites and the newly-launched mega resort hotels, etc.

MGTO Director Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes, Deputy Director Manuel Pires and Cecilia Tse met with the delegation this morning (June 19) and took a group photo together in front of the Ruins of St. Paul’s.

During her address to the welcome dinner, Senna Fernandes remarked that while regional cooperation remains an important issue for tourism development nowadays, Macau will certainly maintain a reciprocal and cooperative relationship with Mainland and Hong Kong, establishing its image as a regional travel destination through multi-destination tourism products and routes. She added that Macau will promote its regional tourism resources in neighboring regions and others parts of the world.

Held in 2000, 2002, 2007, 2009 and 2011 before, the “Experience Macau Tour” comes to its 6th session this year. MGTO serves as the supporting entity of this familiarization event which is organized by China Travel Service (Macau) Ltd.
