I’ve decided to come back to tumblr after some years. Why? Because it has always been my favorite social media. You see, I met incredible people here from all over the world and even got the chance to meet some of them irl, so that’s pretty cool!
I’ve also decided to start from scratch with a new blog (my previous one was a secondary blog that I couldn’t turn into my primary one).
I’m disappointed at other social platforms’ algorithms, so that’s also maybe why I’m starting this blog… I don’t know if it will be the same here, I hope not.
Anyway, nice to meet you! Where are you from? I’d love to discover new artists and illustrators :)

Hi! I’m trying to start a new blog from scratch. Not sure if it’s a good idea or just a terrible one. :’)
The main reason is that I started this blog around 10 years ago and it was set up as a secondary blog, so, I’ve changed, my art has changed, tumblr’s changed and a lot of people that followed me here may be inactive accounts.
I’ve always loved tumblr, that’s why I refuse to leave it.

Kodomo no Hi is a japanese holiday celebrated every 5th of May. Originally from China, it was adopted by Japan during the Nara period and it consists on celebrating children’s hapiness and praying for them to grow healthy. On this day, families raise the koinobori, a carp-shaped windsock. These fish symbolize effort and according to Chinese tradition, carps swim upstream, crossing the Dragon Door and becoming dragons that fly to Heaven.

Hanami 🌸 花見 (はなみ)
This October I’m going to join Ana Oncina’s #Japantober! In my case it will be a mix of digital and ink and my intention is, as always, to make all of them, but you and me already know this is not going to happen… so, I’ve decided to at least make one per week and if I’m feeling like it and I end up making more, then, SUPER COOOOOL :)
An illustration I started in the beginning of last year but that I didn’t seem to find that “click” moment, so I let it rest for some months and then retook it. I can’t remember if that’s what I had in mind, but I kinda like it :)

I’m the worstttttt I just found a box full of my old pins I didn’t know I had… I need to make room for new things and I don’t want to throw them away so if anyone’s interested I’ve listed them on etsy, if you can’t find the one you’re interested in (e.g. I have several of the eleven one but I can’t list them :/), ask me, I may have a spare one hidden in another box :’)

I found these tiny boxes in a drawer, which I think they are from me and my brother’s mineral collection. So, I had one of these on my table the other day when the Tintin song popped up on my mind and I just had to do this. My brain thought it would look cute. I think it does look cute. 😊
